Default Shouldn't there be a reserve???

This seems unfair to me. The fine print under the description...yet there is no reserve.

    Who here says that's fair?

    they must be a lawyer

reserve auctions don't get a lot of bidders, I don't usually bid on a reserve auction.

save about $2.00 on listing fees=cheapskates

That is true LD. I normally do not bid on reserve auctions either. But ebay does not care about your comment in the listing. They look at it as no reserve then it sells.

At the very bottom of the listing in eBay there is a button to report the listing. From there you can select the reasons for the report on one gives you the option to report due to cicumvention of minimum bid with using the reserve feature.

Just in case anyone was wondering.

I'm thinking of contacting the seller and express how interested I am in the item...Then in fine print, I will mention that I won't pay for it if I win.

Reserve concept: You can list an Item and put a reserve price on it...Basically, the minimum you are willing to sell it for. No bidders can see what this is, but once the reserve is met during the auction, The Item will be sold...if the reserve is not met, you don;t have to sell it.

Oops...Once the reserve is met, the item just doesn't "Sell". people can continue to bid until the auction time is up. But if the reserve is met...It means that you will sell the item.

A: yes i will leave it at a usp store for no change but i will just charge about $25 to $35 for gas but i will not charge to leave it at the ups store

I agree that this is one auction I would not bid on. There are TOO many inappropriate and 'warning flag' items for my comfort level. You KNOW that if you were to bid and win and then for one of these 'crazy restrictions' you didn't get the item, you would then have a negative feedback left by them. Not worth it in my opinion.

Well good thing for the buyer is that sellers can no longer leave negative feedback.

Yes, Danger Will Robinson, Danger! Why would he say you could pick it up, but instead he will take it to the UPS store and drop it off and charge you $25. This one smells

due to limited space in homes in Japan most vintage machines were either shipped out or trashed, so vintage machines are more in demand now.

I can see were a $10.00 pickup may sometimes be justified, sitting around waiting for someone to show up can be agravating. I have had people promise to be here at a certain time and show up 2 or 3 hours late.

Vintages list in the $100's to $1000's in Japan (not sure if they sell for that though )
