I stream TV shows from Netflix to my iPhone. The selection is not current; usually a season or two old, and they don't have a huge selection of current series at the present time. Perhaps it will improve now that the industry is moving towards streaming content on demand.

There are a lot of movies and shows that I want to watch, but they are not available on "Watch it Now". Perhaps that is different if you have the Netflix TV adapter.

I posted in another thread that I had signed up for the free month of netflix for my ps3.

I've been watching movies and tv series for about 10 days now and am hooked

actually I've been watching more netfix stuff than tv programs I get with my antenna setup.

if you have had any netflix in the past you won't get the free month unless you use another email address.

7.99 a month sure beats cable of dish cost

I will be keeping it thats for sure.

My Roku DMR should be arriving this week and I plan to be streaming Netflix and HuluPlus this weekend. If all goes as planned, I will officially discontinue my cable TV service in March.

I'll update my thread on the topic once I have had a chance to install and use the Roku box for a while.

For me it's worth it. I've got the Instant movies on my Wii now and really like it. I also have the subscription for two DVDs. So.. I generally alternate between a Movie and a season disc of Boston Legal (LOVE THAT SHOW!). I also did the 'upgrade' for a buck a month and always receive my in mail DVD on Blue Ray which I really like. The quality of the instant movies through my Wii is pretty dang good and the sound is awsome as it plays well through my Sony Surround. However, the Instant movies are limited to what ever is pick by netflix.. although I think you can select which ones you want added through the Internet Access page.

All in all I really like Netflix and think it's a great bargain. It's pretty easy to 'justify' too, just count up how many movies a month you want (or would watch), multiply that times the cost to rent and if it's 75% of the Netflix.. I'd suggest you go Netflix as the convinience of the system will more than make up that 25% difference... you might even find you use it more than you thought!
