Top Gun questions

I just received my top gun. First pachinko since I was a kid (vintage style)
I am trying to check it out before reboxing it for X-mas
A couple of questions to those that own one.
Is their a game play manual any where? Seems like there are different levels but I am not sure how they work?
Opening credits. Mine is quiet is there supposed to be music at that point?
Two triangle buttons to the left of the machine. Used for what?
Every once in a while the wings below the start hole open for a split second. Is it random or activated by something.
How do I empty the award area of balls? I need to remove them before re-boxing.
When the slot gives two of the same number and says ready am I supposed to do something or is the third number random? Again a play manual would help. I got two matching numbers 3 times but never the third. This was in about 20 minutes and a few thousand balls of play.

I found the basic manual in the research section. It did show me how to empty the awards tray.

if anyone has the english translation for the Guild booklet, maybe that would help with how to play

Any help with the other questions would be appreciated.

There is no sound during the attract mode.
The 2 buttons will do various things during gameplay, it will tell you on the screen when to use them.
Yes, the wings near the start pocket will open randomly during gameplay.
If I remember correctly, there is like a slider that releases the payout balls near the top right side(I have not emptied mine in quite a while)
When you get 2 numbers on the screen, that is a reach.
Just keep playing and hope for the 3rd number to match, if you don't get it keep playing.

Does a reach get you anything?
Also I get an error display of 4 on the back of the machine. Not hitting a jackpot I can't be sure if it is supposed to be like that or not.

The error 4 still remains. I learned that the machine is supposed to pay out a few balls whenever a ball goes into the start hole and it does not. I have reseated all of the wires and still no change. If it helps the reset switch does nothing as well. The rest of the game seems to be functioning as it is supposed to. I am waiting to hear back from the place I purchased it but thought I would ask hear again.

Any thoughts.

have you tried a full ball dump, maybe cleaning all the balls might help also.

I've loaded and unloaded the balls. Doesn't matter if balls are in place or not, error 4 comes up. Can anyone tell me what triggers that error?

So I found that the error 4 means the hopper is empty. Apparently there is a switch in the hopper that tells that there are balls in there. I have to put several hundred balls in the hopper for the switch to be activated then the error goes away and payout occurs till the switch is no longer depressed. Even though there are still at least 150 balls in the hopper and chutes, the payout does not occur. Is this the way taiyo machines are supposed to behave?

I have Top Gun Pachinko, although not played it for a while and don't recall getting a hopper empy error on that one

But then I always keep the hoppers topped up (1st rule of pachinko!)

In pachinko you can never have too many Sphericals!!

I'm not sure how many you have, but it sounds like you need to order some more, this hopefully should solve your problem and means your arms will get a little rest too
