My cabinet was built by a fine pinball repair man in my area (Illinois); he no longer makes this style of cabinet; this is one his last ones with four player MAME and NES, SNES, NES 64, Sega Genesis, etc...

Here are my two arcade machines. The one on the left is a dedicated MK2 cab converted to MAME. The one on the left is a dedicated KI cab, jamma compatible so I swap motherboards for other games like Street Fighter. Of course, there's a Darth Vader pachi on the far left.

Mine is mobile version mame Cabinet. Very unique design because the modular build, the button panel is removable, so another panels are possible.
Can used as sit-down type without lower part. Very flexible.

Because i'm also designer, i plan carefully everything out, designed the mobile version, checking sizes and also checking all buttons inside button panel. A good plan gives smooth and fast progress. That is why it's done in 50 days. It keeps the problems low and that saves also the money.
The screen is manually rotateable, but i have not done software yet for screen rotation. I have seen some designs for rotateable screens.
And good design is also important because no one build the mobile version. It takes many weeks to check every out in my drawing program CorelDRAW.

The optical gun is also built-in, so you can play 2-person arcade shooter games. But the software driver is not very perfect, still some issues. That is a big shame. The special LED bars for optical gun is built-in the screen bezel. You see in photos red lights above and below.

I want change the screen, because it has TN panel. I need MPA/IPS panel with 23,4 inches width, but it's expensive.
Perhaps i go rebuild the screen bezel for 4:3 screen because a 20 inch IPS screen is much easier to buy (~90 Euro is much cheaper)

Why i use 16:9 screen? For modern acrade games, for example Street Fighter. But latest Streetfighter suckes in keyboard config and i cannot assign keys for 2-person. The keyboard setup part sucks very big! The hardware is C2D E8400 and video is 8800GT. That is just okay for FullHD Street Fighter in medium settings.

Looks awesome. What light guns did you go with and how well do they work? Looks like "Wii" type technology. :-)

    Ultimarc AimTrak Arcade Light Gun
    Details:
    * Arcade Style Light Gun with Line-Of-Sight Aiming!
    * Emulates a USB Mouse. Controls Mouse Pointer. No special driver required.
    * Compatible with PC Windows XP, Vista, Win7 (32 and 64 bit) plus Linux.
    * Compatible with Playstation 2 and 3 (Guncon 1 and 2 mode only)*
    * Can also be set to emulate a game controller joystick for additional gaming support.
    * Works with all software which uses a mouse or game controller.
    * Works with all monitors including CRT, LCD, and Plasma.
    * 100% Compatible with MAME® (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)

Above information was cut and pasted from the web...

Things I like: has a programmable button on the side (used for reload); has two different colored "crosshairs" that appear on screen to help one aim, different color crosshair for each of my two guns, forces players to stand back enough for the light bar to work - no more pushing the gun up against the screen.

Things I don't like: has conflicts with other usb devices, not sure how, but it does. If a gun is taken out during a non gun game and is aimed at the screen, the gun starts acting like a mouse...

BUT ALL the gun games are MUCH more fun, CarnEvil, Area 51 and Terminator!
