    Default Veneer

I work for a property that was built in 1959. I noticed that the veneer that was installed on all the cabinets and drawers appeared identical to some vintage machines Ive seen on here and ebay. I have access to this from time to time...didn't know if anyone was interested, but if so let me know.

I haven't seen veneer discussed here for a while. We had some good threads going for a while but I'm willing to bet some of the links for the suppliers are now invalid.

Now that I've acquired a couple more pachislots, I've noticed the outside on some are not as aesthetically pleasing as the others. I've seen both a heavy vinyl, self-adhesive discussed previously, as well as a formica-type installation.

And if you have access to a wood veneer similar to those seen on old pachis, you may have some interest. I don't see that stuff anymore.

having worked for some years in the Kitchen countertop field.

the Laminates Makers (Formica, Wilsonart etc) they tend to keep old styles going for quite some time.

Well then that's probably the better way to go. The laminate i get is not quite as tall as a pachinko so it would have a seam. I wasn't sure if it was still made so just thought i'd throw that out there.

countertop shops buy the laminate in rolls

the rolls are 12 feet long in most cases the width is i forget the width but its enough for the width of a standard counter top and the back splash..

its quite the process how they put the laminate onto the countertop..

you may want to check with one if you got one in your area...

usually there are a lot of SCRAP rolls of old laminate around you might get yourself a good deal..
