Default Which are the "best" cells for Sankyo Lumina

    Hello all,

could you please tell me which cell is considered as generally the "best", or "most fun" cell for the Sankyo Lumina frame - if we exclude the following:
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Galaxy Railways and Julie (as those 4 I already know are considered good / fun cells)?

So other than the 4 mentioned above: which is most fun (and also, maybe why)?

    Thanks for your advice...

    Regards,

    Miklos

To be honest, your best approach would be to look at the list of cells that fit the Sankyo Lumina Frame (Search for the thread) and then investigate ones that appeal to YOU

You can find more info on them in the Research Centre too

As one person's idea of fun and excitement may be totally different to someone elses

If I locate the cell list I will post it for you

alright, it's been a while since I've gone on this rant but it's apparently time to do it again.
has anyone but me noticed that most of the new people here have just got in the habit of asking, instead of doing any research at all? i haven't seen a new or groundbreaking question in quite some time. it's always the same questions over and over. DO A LITTLE RESEARCH!! the search button on the upper bar will lead you to a wonderful world of information that has already been gathered.
that's one of the major problems with today's society: no one want's to make any effort, they want it all handed to them on a platter, from pachi answers to a million dollars(refer to the current financial crisis brought to you by people who were out to make a quick buck, screw long term sustainability)
Get off your asses and do a little work yourselves!!

Hi: I apologize if I offended you.

I always do a search first before I post, and I post only if I do not find a complete reply.

I was aware of the list of all Sankyo Lumina frames - that is why I did not ask for a list.

People get new machines all the time - that is why I asked for what is considered today as a "fun" or "good" machine (after I read previous posts and identified 4 popular ones).

Still: I will be even more careful in using search in the future - thank you for reminding!

there is a load of info here and sometimes even with a search its hard for some members to find answers.

its easy for long time members to take a min and find the proper post to link to the question

I'll bet many members here have to ask their spouses where something is, even though they have lived in the same home for years

We have a lot of off topic and non pachi conversations here. People do not always write a good titles either. Sometimes it is really hard to find a post even you remember what the topic was about. For a new member it can be even more difficult. This forum software and layout with all graphics, fonts, smileys and pictures is also a quite "heavy" (comparing to phpbb for example) so fast searching is quite hard.

Well the off topic stuff and non pachi conversations are what gives this site it's warm, approachable and very unique 'personality'

Mostly we are a friendly community, whose aim is to enjoy pachis and non pachi stuff, sharing our collections, knowledge, thoughts and bits of our lives with other like-minded people

There are always going to be differences of opinion, but we are on the whole a happy, helpful, and welcoming, if at times slightly crazy bunch of people

    I love this place!!

    And I totally agree.

This forum can have 50 new posts every day so newcomers may see it is easier to just ask...and it is also a good way to start conversation and get to know each other.

when we all first discovered this hobby our enthusiasm to get the information we required was intense. we all asked the same questions.

the how do you change the odds
what is the token/sphere exchange in Japan
how do you change the odds on a pachinko
how many balls do i need to run a pachinko affectively
    and countless other questions.

our goal as the collective PachiTalk.com is to provide this information to those who seek it.
some are more confident using the search feature then others, and some prefer to just ask their questions in the open forum.

we are PachiTalk. its in the title of the site.. TALK... we aren't a pachidatabase it isnt a pachisearch.
we are here to move the hobby forward and make sure that we share it as many people as possible.

We shall turn no one* away or make someone feel unwanted.
*(providing that no one respects his or her fellow users and or doesnt rip them off )

we have a diverse group of people here and this is why PachiTalk has a daily following.

Some may say there is a lot of off topic chit chat and the threads get carried away.
Yes there is, there is no way to deny this nor am i going to make any excuse for it.
it is the reason that 99% of the regulars are here. it is more then just an encyclopedia,
its a community of people from around the globe who come in and say hello to their FRIENDS!

we will never only be just a Pachi information site, we will be a friendly place where people can
come and chat let their hair down and spend some time with friends.

thats worth more then all the Pachi information in the world.. a place where you feel welcome,
a place where there is always someone glad to see you and offer a hello.

databases and encyclopedias become out of date quite easily, but the human factor doesn't.
one can have all the databases in the universe but there is only one PachiTalk.

Thats all i got to say about that

as for the software and the search

Graphics and Smilies do not impede searching, what impedes search words used.
the PachiTalk Search engine, does not only search titles, but also thread content.

Vbulletin is by far the #1 forum software by far, its versitile and offers thousands of add ons and extentions to make it do almost anything!

Future pachitalk additions that may be of interest

    1) currently working on a Dialup/Mobile style with less bloat for users that wish to do away with images etc. either by want or need. (completion date in the near future)

    2) will be adding the ability to IGNORE THREADS- this will allow users who only wish to see certain threads to skip most of the "fluff" as they call it (completion date within the next few days)

    3) also planned is an alternative pachitalk style that will be a little more streamlined.(completion date after the Mobile dialup version is finished)

all true and valid points. guess i'm just having a bad day. now where did you put that big jar of crow? sorry if i offended anyone.
ps: it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to pull the "so your new to" threads out of the research center so they can be accesed right off the bat rather than having to wait until you ask the same questions repeatedly.

I guess there needs to be a balance. Too many threads asking the same question can get tiresome on any forum as birdbrain said. But then with the wealth of info on here, new people may never feel the need to post anything, which results in a certain staleness...or worse...lack of new posts.

Since Gadget didn't specifically ask for the list of cells, but for opinions on which Lumina cells people have/enjoy besides the more common 4, I think this is a bit different.

I think maybe compirate has the most Lumina cells? Other than those mentioned, I have Shimura World, which is kind of off the wall. There are no numbers to match..or at least not shown prominently on the LCD. Every ball you get in the start pocket causes the comical Samurai dude to drop his sword/gate, which allows balls into the middle play area. There it can either get dumped down the drain, get trapped in a mini-fever pocket, or get dropped into a mini roulette wheel where one out of three spots gives a fever.

A lot of people have Vicky Chance, Super Soccer and Yoon Sona which were going for like 60 bucks back when it was a buyer's market in the Samurai Slots days.

I really want a 007 and a Captain Harlock. I also wished I picked up the Bisty Casino cell/machine when they were cheap.

Yes. I know that. (I'm a admin of one forum also) ... but the smileys, different fonts and stuff does affect the reading of threads. To find the stuff you are looking for. Also lot of small pictures and other fluff affect loading time and screen rendering. I have a high end computer with really fast connection and Safari browser but still this forum is sometimes sloooow. (EDIT: The point is what the forum is to people browsing with not so new computers or mobile devices..good to hear this issue is on the list). There can be many reasons for that but still there really should be smiley, font and picture disabling options for boring people like me.

Something I noticed recently on the Homepage, and am very pleased to see, is that we now have a
'Site Navigation' section giving links to the FAQs etc...
