    It is definitely a good looking machine. That would be a nice addition to my basement some day.

    Check out e-bay. I have been looking at the large 4 oz and 8 OZ poppers for about three years now. The price has dropped tremendously. A full cart 4 OZ popper with 800 watt system I have seen for under 150.00...shipping included. I would have bought it, but I need my Fishy to die first...he is taking up the space now with his fish tank.

    Also, contact Snappypop ( https://www.snappypopcorn.com/produc...chines-c18.htm )
    and mention that you want to buy a popper but would like to taste there popcorn first. They will send you a few sample packs free.

    Make sure you compare the actule capacty of the popper and materal that its made of , when I checked on size GM held more than ounces than any of the other brands and complete stainless thats what sold me on the GM popper and I have been very happy with it and have used it to pop a lot for big parties

    If you ask My Wifey Karyn and the kids... I am the Ultimate Popcorn machine... I use an old school stovetop Handcrank unit. 30 bucks normally, it is faster than Microwave and a HELL of a lot less mess to clean up than those machines. Just Dump out the popcorn and rinse out the kettle with hot water at the sink, put it back on the stove (turned off) to dry out, and run it through the dishwasher. Anyone want Popcorn recipies just ask or even PM me. I will give you a few to try.

    Last Xmas I bought my daughter one of those little ones that look like a little old fashioned stall with the wheels

    It works great!!

    and goes really well with her Toy Penny Pusher, Toy slots and Toy Crane Grabber, etc

    I used to like making popcorn in my old electric coffee bean roaster, but eventually I managed to blow it up or something

    I currently use the same type of hand crank popper...it's called a Whirley Pop. It makes great popcorn!

    OOps the Edit button expired. By the way, I go to the food service store and buy popcorn by the 10lb. bag. at less than $1.00 a pound, AND the popcorn salt (yellow) in the large commercial size 5 or 6 bucks. and popping oil by the gallon for 5 or 6 bucks.

    Best result recipe for the automatic poppers you guys are looking at is

    @4 oz popcorn

    1 oz oil
    1 tsp salt directly in popper

    @6 oz popcorn
    1.5 oz oil
    1 TBSP salt directly in popper

    @8 oz popcorn
    2 oz oil
    2 tsp salt directly in popper

    I have a 6 oz stovetop popper but I can do 8 oz by pouring some off mid pop.

    Heat the oil till is barely starts to smoke, add the popcorn and salt. as soon as you hear the 3rd or 4th pop, cut the heat from high to just over medium, and DONT STOP CRANKING AND OR SHAKING THE ENTIRE TIME! If you follow those directions and it does not turn out better than the movie theatre or better than any machine practice a few times and IT WILL! it should take about a minute and a half from adding the popcorn to washing the popcorn pot.

    Ok Cheese Popcorn (the Wifey's fave as well as my little Cuddle Bug's)

    Pick up a bag of powdered cheese sauce mix (cheddar preferably) at the food service store, usually 1 lb bag.

    pop as normal and transfer to large bowl. and rinse popcorn pot in sink.

    add 1/4 cup dry cheese sauce mix to bowl (Sprinkle around)
    Dump bowl into a clean waste basket liner or clear plastic bag large enough and shake around until it looks good enough to eat and return to the bowl...

    Also try substituting:
    shaved chocolate (white or dark) INCREDIBLE but MESSY!!!

    Jalapeno seasoning with the cheese 1/2 tbsp or 1 tbsp without cheese mix

    1/2 packet of Taco meat seasoning.

    YUMMY
