Default Gaku pachislo manuals - Popeye?

Gaku's website used to host a number of Pachislo manuals and play guides- but they are not there any more.

Are they mirrored somewhere? If not: would anyone have a Popeye manual - and would you be so kind to email it to me?

    Thank you for your help.

    Cheers,

    Miklos

Update: Eric from Gaku was kind enough to send me the Popeye document.

The second half of my question still stands: would anyone have a mirrored version of these users guides and (especially) the playguides?

    Thanks again,

    Miklos

If someone was mirroring Gaku's material, that would be an infringement of his copyrights and frowned on here.
Pachislos: Alien, Azteca Returns, Death Valley, Guts, Gamera HGV, Hokuto No Ken, Jet Set Radio, Mephisto, Oasis, Speed Racer, Surprise, Twenty Seven, Thunderbirds, Wild Wolf
Pachinkos: Blooming Field, Casino, Freddy vs Jason, Horror Mansion, Indiana Jones, Julie, Lucky Boat of Seven God, Popeye, Spiderman

Well, as far as I know mirroring for private use is 100% ok. I often mirror websites for myself, and in the beginning (when I did it first) I asked for permission and was told that I do not need permission. If a website is there, anybody can get the content, so I have every right to store the content for my personal use.

I beg to differ it really depends on what the author states.

a general just cus its there doesnt make it public domain.

Sid: lets take another example, because I am confused.

Are you saying, that if I were to download the (free, accessible to everyone) Pachislo manuals from the Stealth site, and then I were to send them to you (or any other person who asks for it) as one Zipped file, stating that it is from the Stealth website, that is not legal?

There are a number of automatic websites(like the wayback machine) which mirror many many other (all?) websites automatically. Is the wayback machine illegal?

I am lost : please explain...

I have no intention to do anything illegal, ever. But I thought my request was totally legal.

im not saying its legal or Illegal my point is
if Stealth or any Stealth for that matter says the work is free to use distribute, etc thats cool distribute away. but it depends on the terms of use set forth by the author.
the author may say feel free to use my work on a personal level but may not permit further distribution by you.

all im saying is you have to know the full terms of use set forth by the author.
    that's it..

Have a read on the matter of Public Domain

I've had my pictures taken from my ebay auctions and used by other persons without my permission.

others have had their videos used on auctions without the seller asking permission.

Gaku had all his watermarked for the same reason.

at the time he did allow pachitalk members to copy them for their personal use

Arby also had links to many of his things also,

so everything cannot be considered public domain just because you can find it on the net.

    Thank you all for commenting/explaining.

Now I just would love to understand under what system the Wayback machine (internet archive) works, as they clearly state that they want to mirror ALL websites out there, to be used for free by the general public... (and they do mirror parts if Gaku's old website, but not all)

Update: I have spent the last hour on the internet archive and found mirrored copies of both the gaktrading and bigbear websites, with many game guides, play guides and general info intact.

However,I have not found the Sinbad playguide. Would anyone have that file? Could you please email it to me?

    Thank you...

Are you looking for "Sindbad" (2001 / NET) or "Sindbad Adventure" (2004 / ELECO)?

If it's "Sindbad Adventure", P.M. me your email address and I'll send you a copy.

I have been round and round many of the same threads, posts, other websites, and am wondering why the Gaku pachislo manuals seem to be moved from every link, etc. I am also looking for the Popeye Manual / play guide, and would appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Apparently I am looking for Gaku, master of all that is Popeye? If you have the guide (in English por favor--I don't speak or read Japanese), could you please send it to me at

    Thanx,
    Lee
