There's a lot of that, that's been going on for a long time. This company is one of the biggest culprits of it though..

I don't know which is worst. The Vegas or this Frankenstein Harley:

It's not a Harley, nor is it an Exhaust.

I find it interesting that they don't have to put in the disclaimers that Ebay requires the other dealers plus also they just say it is a Harley or Las Vegas machine not mentioning that it is a custom machine etc. Looks like Ebay has an agenda....

Take a look at this Harley machine. Yeah, right... The eBay ad title is something: HARLEY DAVIDSON AD SIGN MOTORCYCLE HOG MOTOR LIGHTS

I'm really shocked that Harley never does anything about this... especially since they authorized one pachislo, and have authorization on a number of current American slots.

I mean... all they would have to do is go here:
    http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/brand-name.html
And click on "report" near the bottom.

    But would eBay even bother?
Only if Harley Davidson was a big seller store on there, I'd bet!!!

That last auction looks like someone that might have been ripped, and is now trying to pass it. Like trying to pass a counterfeit bill before you get stuck with it, I guess.

The great thing about this forum is all of the information provided  . As I read the various posts, the message to me is very clear when it comes to purchasing machines and other items. Stick with ONLY those vendors who get good reviews by our members...boycot those who are identified as slime :smt096 . It appears the slime outnumber the good....for now.

There are alot of great dealers out there that we have not commented about, so to be fair. But we do come down on the slim as quick as we can!

I think the best way to approach your buying off the internet is to do the research first.

Know what the game is worth by looking at what they brought in completed auctions. Make sure the bid price met the seller's reserve or the bid amount may be too low and skew your thinking as to a game's worth.

If the bids consistently fall short of what the seller expects, then you might want to email the seller with an offer. Often they will be able to work with you and sell it at a price you both can agree upon. Please keep such negotiations polite and cordial or you will bring out the worst in the seller if he thinks you are trying to jerk him around with some unrealistic offer.

Remember purchases made outside of eBay gives you little protection from fraudelent sellers. That is where a good feedback rating from other buyers of similarly priced items helps. Carefully review their feedback to make sure it isn't padded with a bunch of low ticket items like 25 cent ball card purchases.

or you can play russian roulette and buy from an iffy seller.

i got my azteca legend for 87.00 that way, no customer service and the guy didn't last long on ebay.

but, a friend had bought two machines from them earlier and got them delivered in decent shape.

    so, i gambled!!!!

    and won!!!!!

    Same here Lucky !

I bought my Babel cheap cheap cheap from a dealer that was getting slammed in feedbacks. Later I grabbed my SpinLuck at a price way below what the so called premier sellers were getting on Ebay at the time- from a seller that on the old way board everyone was slamming big time !

Makes you wonder if Luck is involved or just good communication and common sense

BTW : There is a ebook being sold somewhere here and there that really spells out what to look out for on Ebay. kimosabe where is that book anyway :?:
