First off i thought they were all named Tom !!!
Second i ate plenty of birds named "Tom" so whats so special about a "BoB" must be a European thing ..
Fire up the oven we'll eat em in the states .
Next they'll be naming pumpkins "Dick" and not want you to cut your "dick" anymore ...

I do find it interesting that most of us would happily pick up a Turkey or whatever from a Supermarket and not give it a second thought...

But someone gives it a name and all of sudden it makes people think ( myself included I suppose)

I wonder what would happen if the next time we visited a Butchers or Supermarket they labelled all the packs of meat with names

Imagine Susan the lamb chop, or Britney the Beef Joint, not to mention Sally the Sausage...

In the old days you went to the store and picked out a live chicken and the butcher would kill it for you.

the first time my dad asked my mother to make chicken for supper she went to the butcher and when she saw all the poor chickens in the crates she didn't have the heart to pick one.

when he came home from work, she said if you want chicken go buy it yourself!!

My dad ate something else for supper that nite
