New Star Wars Machine Release!

Does anybody know if music/sound is supposed to play right after powering up the Star Wars II pachinko? I see the video but don't hear a sound unless I play and hit one of the "targets"

I'm not lucky enough to own this one yet, but judging by my other pachinko's, Yes it is normal for them to be silent after powering up, until you start to hit pockets etc

"targets"=pockets, it makes sense they do look like pockets, some of them look impossible to get in, maybe I should "tilt" the machine?:katebush:

Some pockets just look impossible to get into..and some are impossible to get into due to them greedy parlor owners and their nail bending!!

Some careful nail bending may be needed to make it possible to get balls in some pockets!!

But on a modern video type pachi like this the start pocket is the only one you really need to be shooting for, but its still fun to have all the other ones accessible!!

Wanted to get some info about pachinko, as for I know almost nothing. Lived here in Japan for over 8 years, but I am just learning. I am a member of the Japanese Garrison of the 501st and was honored to be the Vader in the promo and TV spots here in Japan for Fever Star Wars. That Vader you see on the game intro is me. Its still so surreal.

I spent about 3 weeks total between the shoots for all 5 CM's as they call em here in Tokyo.

I am here to learn to build a cabinet and to fix an error I have on my machine they gave me... Sankyo and the Garrison here got me one. It is the black one, and its on display with one of my helmets. Its my avatar.

If you all want another thread about the promo, I can start one. I dont want to hijack... Just add in if you all would like.

Thanks so far, I have fixed my error and now am digging around for swag from the promo and cab designs.

I have attached some shots of us at Toho studios with the Godzilla, one of the into CM with me on the floor practicing how to walk on it... and one of the Demand production crew and all of us 501st guys that day.

I have been a trooper now for about 4 years, and love it to the max! Being in Japan helps though, the people really take to it.

What started out innocent turned into a hobby, and well then it turned into sort of an obsession then back to a hobby...

I did my first really large troop event in Tokyo summer of 08 called Celebration Japan. The first event LFL did in Asia. Had a blast. Met the Sankyo girls.. (said sankyou to em... hotties!) and the company guys. About two months later we as a garrison get a call and wham, we are doing the CM's.

So My pictures head off to LFL and get the look over by Mary Franklin and Steve Sansweet I believe. Pretty cool. Two thumbs up and away we go. I am one of the only fan made Vaders in TV comercials LFL has evr done. The second in the 501st I believe.

Ill try to post up some more shots from behind the scenes and such.. I did all 5 commercials... Two however were CG, so only 3 takes. The bus one was the most fun.

I'm surprised they didn't get it for you in the original red case. The black one is a Bisty (as far as I know). Does it say Sankyo on the sides of the shooter tray?

By all means start a new thread, I personally would love to hear about it. Did they have you at the premier also?

It's no big deal, I personally think the game is more appropriate in the black frame. It was originally released in a red frame. Bisty is a sub of Sankyo. We just have a fun time here with the ebay ads for the original Star Wars 1 game in the 'rare' red frame (Bisty in this case) when it was introduced in a white frame.
