    Default Disney World Bound

Getting ready to go back to Disney World October 31st to November 10th. Its been 2 years since we were last there. This time my Mom and my sister and her family are joining us. Making it a total of 10 of in our group and we now qualify as a Grand Gathering (what ever that means) . We will be celebrating Billy's 10th Birthday (Nov. 4th) while we're there and is the main reason for the trip. I'm staying on property and won't have a rent a car to leave so I'm dependent on Disney world transportation. I wanted to play a round of golf while I was there but was unable to get any tee times as they are already booked solid. Anybody have any tips or must sees while I'm there?

    Happy Birthday Billy!!!

We stayed on ground before, I loved it and we were always able to get everywhere we wanted without any problems. We actually had our car with us, since we drove down... but we never moved it the whole time we were there.

Disney World is my favorite destination.., it is ALL a must see/must do for me.

    I'm jealous!

Make sure that you go to all of the small restaurants in Epcot along the outer edge of the park they have great attractions inside and some have rides that few know about. I dont mean for you to eat at them just go inside and you will see what Im talking about. Mexico has a great little ride for example.

Have Dinner at Cinderellas Castle make reservations for a window seat get it for around 8:00pm make the reserevation as soon as you get to the park. that way you will have a great view of the Nights Fireworks and dinner at the same time.

Be sure to be at the midpoint of the Lake at Epcot before the last fireworks of the night go off as it is the best viewing point for a really spectacular show. Get there a little early before the crowds do. About 45 mins is good. The time goes by quickly as there are usually performers there and great Music is pumped around the lake.

Dont want to wait in lines for rides? Get some wheelchairs and you can go straight through. Dont tell anyone you heard it from me.

The best food will be at the Polynesian where they have the most amazing all you can eat
Luh ouh. In the evenings. The portions are Huge and fantastic, Beef ,Chicken and Shrimp that you wont believe.

my buddies son, son's wife and 2 grandkids take him to Disneyland with them when they go.

he has trouble walking too much, so they get him a wheelchair and they all get to go to the front of the lines

I told him, thats the only reason they take him along

Eddie thanks for that great info. The castle dinner is already sold out for the lenth of our stay but I did get a Castle breakfast. The luau is also filled up already. We did book a fireworks cruise were we will be able to see the fireworks and the water light parade from our own boat also includes champaine and snacks. We have dinner booked at Mexico also so I will check out that boat ride. And Gina booked us at the Hoop-de-doo dinner show which is an all you can eat and I heard the food there was good too.
After doing some web searches I found out that if you one of the first people of the day to visit Tom Saywers Island, There are hidden paint brushes you can find spread thru-out the island. Bring one of the brushes to guest services for a special prize. cool. I'm going to try that.

I've only ever been to Disneyland Paris but it was super fun for all ages,
and I am hoping to take the children there again maybe next year ...

I can only imagine Disney World to be a million times more fun,

so hope you all have a fantastic time and looking forward to seeing your pics / vids

P.S. not sure if you have a similar publication for Disney World, but prior to our holiday to Paris we bought a little guide book,
that had lots of hints and tips for getting around the resort, which rides it was best to head for first etc, etc

It also had lots of money off vouchers for places like Planet Hollywood, etc

Which property are you staying at? We need to take the kids in the future and thought staying on the Disney properties seemed like the way to go.

We stayed at the Old Key West Resort... very awesome for anyone traveling with more than two kids or an extended family. We had seven in our group and we all stayed together.
