If you own a Ruger you can write to the company for info on the date is was made, they will send a nice letter telling you the month and year it was made.

plus sent the manuals for it free

some collector's need everything complete. if they own the gun, they want the right box or instructions.

some empty boxes have sold for over $100.00 on ebay

Wow, never thought about selling an empty box of anything, but that's true that a collector will pay to complete their collection.

Someone sold an empty psp box when they came out for $245
When the guy who bought the box, got the box he was pissed. He didn't read the post.
And the post even clearly stated more than 10+ times it was just the box, even in big letters.
whats the moral, always read the item description!
