    Default Arra King

Has anyone seen an Arra King in person? I picked one up on eBay last night. It's a 2004 machine. I think this is the model that was originally listed as having "pachinko action" and was pulled the week before Christmas when eBay screwed up and cancelled most of the pachislo auctions. I think that particular machine went back up on Dec 17, but without the "pachinko action" description. It sold on Dec 24th.

The one I won is the first Arra King that showed up on eBay since then. BTW, another Arra King was just listed yesterday.

I've not seen one but I am going to be patiently waiting for your review of it. I'm anxious to hear about this one... 8-)

Problem is, even though the machine will probably arrive here late next week, I won't be able to get to it until the middle of the following week. I leave for Vegas on Monday and won't get back here until the following Tuesday.

    Remember your advice, Gary!

Take a Sharpie along, and see how many slots you can draw reel-stop buttons on before they catch you! PROMOTE THE HOBBY!!! :-P

I got into pachislo's originally when I won $3K on a slot at a local casino. I decided with my winnings to get a slot for the house. I didn't even had an ebay account at the time. I bought my first pachislo and was hooked.

Now I've only been back to a casino once since then and it was only for an hour or so with my in-laws. Having these here at the house is curbing my desire to go and donate my money to casino's. So I figure that pachislo's are my savings program! 8-) Since we all know that I one once and that's probably the only time I will ever win...

If anyone else is interested in an Arra King, here's one that's got 2 days to go with no bids. It might go cheap.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to report on mine before this one closes. Mine won't arrive until next Monday. But that's OK 'cause I won't be back from Vegas until next Tuesday.

Got my Arra King. Amazing light show. There are bright white strobes across the top that must be bright enough to see a mile away. The strobes are used even in the attract mode.

The large LED counters on either side at the top are in play on every spin There are also dozens of pin point white lights around the LED area that light up every once in awhile and go crazy during the bonus round.

The thing in the center looks like flippers on a pachinko. There is also a pachinko ball in there. But none of this looks like it does anything. At least I haven't seen it do anything in the way of movement, yet. But there is quite a light show in that area. Red lights moving a bit like flames.

Over all, this is the most intense pachislo light show I have ever seen. During bonus play the LED display shows the order in which to stop the reels. But, there was so much going on - strobes, flames, the pin point lights, and color changing on the LED display - that I didn't even notice the LED showing which reel to stop during the bonus round the first time I hit it.

Of course the machine is a bit ugly - lime green with gold trim. So I doubt many people will buy this as a first machine, but it sure stands out in a collection of pachislos.

So is there any truth to the pachinko part of this machine?

So far it looks like the pachinko part is just for looks. I'll let you know if it every does anything besides light up.

If anyone is interested in Arra King there are 2 of them on eBay right now. One of them is misslisted as Arakind. Maybe people will overlook it and it might go cheap. Maybe both will go cheap... seems no one know what these are yet. I'm still having fun with mine, but it is ugly...

Default Back to the top with Arra King

Got mine today from DGI. It's in great shape, except for a chip in the plastic on top of the cabinet. Also super clean, 100% operational, 500 new brassy tokens, and packed well enough to withstand a bomb blast.

Not much to add to what Gary already said. Yes, it's ugly. But the lights really are stunning and there's a lot of stuff going on on every spin. Been through 2 hopper-draining bonus games. Cool music on this one.

Just one caveat: Order your L-Pad at the same time you order the machine 'cause this fine lady will shatter your windows! Gotta go...gotta play some more!
