Default Noo...not another pachinko cabinet thread.

Sorry. I just wanted to show my finished cabinets:

The article is in Finnish but I made PDF plans free to download. Plans are in English too and please look the pictures.

Well...There is nothing special about these. I wanted the wooden parts to be as thin as possible. I also wanted cabinets to be slim, small and sleek. Design to fit at living room and not to be too tall with pachislo machine. My all games are side by side at the top of low black bookshell.

Games are modified to cyclic so lower space is not needed. The bottom of the cabinets is removable so I can change the design. There is usual ball container at the top of the cabinet.

I used high quality 12mm thick birch plywood and rounded the edges at the front to make them look even more slim. I used a lot of plaster and sanded the surface very well.

I used a semigloss alkyd gel type black paint. I'm more familiar with spray paints but now I did not have a room to spray paint. Painting went well but It took to 20 hours and drying time is not counted to that time! Many thin layers were slow method but the finished surface is beautiful. Color is black and you can slightly see the wood pattern like a some wooden speakers for example. Wooden frames of the games are partly painted black to fit to cabinet color.

There's gray plastic carpet pieces to make tiltings for balls in ball container. The cutting of carpet was hard to make and it is not that good as I wanted. Maybe I will try that again with different material. Hopefully the carpet was free for me.

For stopping balls to fall at bottom of the cabinet when opening the game I used a plastic tube and with ending and hole at side. Look the section at my page. I haven't seen that kind of method before and I can recommend it. It is not hard to do if you manage to find easy to cut plastic tube and something at the end of it. The hole is tight enough to keep the tube up position when the game is opened and the wooden parts are in line with pachinko ball hopper edges so any balls won't fall from there.

I would like to add more links to m y article so if you have pictures somewhere in the net or web page please tell.
