That is SO cool!! I haven't played real UK machines ever (some emulators yes, but...) and they look so nice and sounds are usually great. Love the light shows and light animations. And the game play is more complicated than slot machines in Finland. I have watched so many videos in YouTube. I Would like to have one German machine and one UK machine at home too.

Can you say something about the prizes (year 2000+ models) and who sells them? Is it hard to find one? That machine looks more like casino model? Is there difference between those and bigger models usually placed in bars and pubs?

    [HI

THIS MACHINE IS A CASINO MODEL 30P A PLAY THE JACKPOT IS £25 UK POUNDS,YOU CAN GET MACHINES ON E BAY BUT THE SHIPPING TO FINLAND WOULD BE HIGH IN PRICE,THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BIGGER MODELS USUALLY IN BARS AND PUBS IS THE PAY OUTS (IE JACKPOTS) quote=Supersaiyan;283911]That is SO cool!! djh,
Are you sure that this is a Casino model? While it appears to be styled on casino-type machines, the 30p play / £25 jackpot would suggest that this is an arcade machine.

With 13 years experience in the casino industry, I can tell you that, even way back in the late 1980's when I first went into the gaming industry, the Jackpot on Casino machines was £150.

As the (UK) law stands, casinos can have a limited number of 'Casino' Slot machines, with Jackpots at £1000. There is a clause within the 1968 Gaming Act and its subsequent amendments that allow for casinos to forego their entitlement to have these machines and replace them with a larger number of lower jackpot machines, i.e. arcade machines. While your machine may well have been used in a casino which has opted to utilise a higher number of lower jackpot machines, it still wouldn't be described as a 'casino' machine within the industry.

That said, I really do like the look of this machine and, if I could reprogram it to take pachislo tokens, then I'd have one in our Fun Casino portfolio!

Why not have a chat with Steve at skytvspecials (sorry, dont know his ID on here, this is his eBay ID), maybe if you and he got your heads together, he could sort you some UK machines in return for some US pachislos / pachinkos?! (This assumes that Mr Goodburn is actually in the US. Apologies if this isnt the case. I feel a bit daft now.)

The confusion may be because the cabinet is often unofficially referred to as a 'Casino style' in the industry. Also many casino spec games can be easily adjusted to the lower stakes/prizes of the arcade models.

There is a clause within the 1968 Gaming Act and its subsequent amendments
These acts were repealed a year ago and they have been replaced by completely new legislation in the form of the 2005 Gambling Act. While I'm not sure about the changes to machines allowed in a casino, arcades are now allowed a limited number of higher jackpot machines in their over 18s section as are betting shops, though the specification will be different from the genuine casino models.

if I could reprogram it to take pachislo tokens
Shouldn't be too difficult, most modern electronic coin mechs are easily reprogrammable, and it shouldn't be that hard to get the parts to convert the hopper either.
