is it safe to leave machines plugged into a surge protector and the protector plugged into the wall as long as i turn the surge protector off? will the transformers still be live?

It is generally recommended for ease and the life of the transformer to plug them into a surge strip and kill the power to the units from the strip. All electricity to the unit is eliminated in this configuration.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

unless you have sneaky snake electricity, were it goes where it want with out lines, I think that what the northern lights are.

    all joking aside:
This what I requment to all Pachi owners USE A POWER STRIP to control your electricity to the machine. for this use a $4 one just as good as the $20 ones.

From what you describe, it sounds like no power will reach the machines at all with the surge protector off. I use an UPS unit on my banks of machines and turn them on and off from there.

The powe strip cuts it all, and I think it be best, but I have been wrong a few times last year, but so far this year I am batting 100%
