I was looking at the Sinbad adventure BB and it is easy, it is just an SVGA panel. all you need to do is set up the graphic and something to drive the lcd.

What about the soundtracks from the bonus rounds? It looks like they just covered the LCDs with a sheet of plastic with the graphics on them.

they may have bought the pachislos for a lower price with the lcd screens already removed in Japan.

the sounds and music should still be there, with the buyer wondering what the heck is all that!!

The only problem with that thought is the backlight doesn't cover the full LCD. So unless they're replacing that with a full panel, they're useless.

I bet they are mostly the Gamera HG version machines that have the LCD problem. I just think the soundtrack will make them play funny in bonus rounds.

they're actually devil may cry 3 machines. I have high res shots and you can see on the top it says Dante and Virgil which are characters in the game.
This game induces a kind of hypnosis, a strange feeling of happiness. Winning is hardly important. But, time passes. You lose touch with yourself for a while, and merge with a machine and perhaps you forget, what you always wanted to forget.....

So does that mean the Devil May Cry machine could have the famous Gamera HG version LCD issue as well?

I think trademark just has no idea what they're doing ruining perfectly good machines lol

we won't know if the screen is behind the artwork until someone buys one and comes on here to find out about it

The image you have is a DMC3, but they just used that image and Photoshopped the custom over the screen and belly glass. If you look closely you can see the coin insert covered with the custom image.

I asked about it and was told they will be using Ore No Sora and not DMC3 (probably at least not yet), but that this body type is the new one they are using for all their future customs. What a waste of good machines.

I asked if the video would show through and was told the video card will be removed from the machine before the custom, so it cannot be purchased and "changed" back to the original machine unless you can find the video card.

I would have guessed they were Onimusha 3 cabinets, as they look exactly the same.

Anyway, I think it is a pretty clever way of salvaging an otherwise defective machine...maybe I'll put the Gamera parts back in the FrankenPachi-PC and come up with an Alien theme
Pachislos: Alien, Azteca Returns, Death Valley, Guts, Gamera HGV, Hokuto No Ken, Jet Set Radio, Mephisto, Oasis, Speed Racer, Surprise, Twenty Seven, Thunderbirds, Wild Wolf
Pachinkos: Blooming Field, Casino, Freddy vs Jason, Horror Mansion, Indiana Jones, Julie, Lucky Boat of Seven God, Popeye, Spiderman
