ground up plastic becomes new plastic, lcds get reused, all the metal is reused to make all the crap that's available at your dollar store.

All chips and processors are platinum coated to help conduct electricity more effectively and look how many processors there are in these machines, they can be melted down and the precious metal can be extracted.

Currently market price for platinum is between £14-£17 per gram get enough processors it soon mounts up to tidy sums, Plus its much easier and cheaper for exporters to ship them in bits by the container full rather than carefully shipping full machines,

shame really smashing up perfectly good machines

Just double click on the video above, it will open in another tab/window. You can get the URL from that.

The machines are free over there - Sankyo has a program where they'll take them back for nothing, then they recycle them. It costs something to dispose of anything in Japan, so the parlors are thrilled if someone will take them. If I was a recycler in China, I'd have more than a few people scouring Japan from my company.

bear in mind that the palours may take parts off before scrapping machines.

dealers that ship out full containers, have to have brokers in Japan and have to pay a premium for complete pachinkos and pachislos.

What's your intention? Personal for yourself or resale? Personal can be cheaper, if you buy in quantity, resale is tougher. I'm sure if some are going for 2000Y and less starts with no reserve, they're getting them cheaper.
