Any opinions? Looking at both models based on appearance and wondering if anybody loves um or hates um.

    Thanks in advance.

Zett-30 Pachislo Skill Slot Machine, by the prestigious Net Corp. made in the 4 month of 2002. A very high quality NET model. NET models are the Cadillac of this industry! Very good, clean, trouble free machine. Uses 30 PAI tokens.

Great Light Show and Sounds as you get close to the Big Bonus. This machine has reels that are back lighted. The reels feature cherries, golden bells, blue sevens, red sevens, and Zett logos. The entire face is beautiful chrome finish. 3 coin, 7 line play. Great graphics, stereo sound effects ! The sound is awesome! 3 speakers, 2 on the top corners and one on the bottom near the coin tray. This is a Max bet model!

Very clean lines and crisp stereo sounds, excellent music during bonus rounds!
If you get two bells for example on the 1st pay line(middle) then all you have to do is a get a bell on the third reel. It doesn't matter where just as long as you get one on the third reel somewhere. On NET machines little lights light up between the reels if you get matches on first two reels and have a chance of getting a match on the third. Say I got a bell on left reel bottom, middle reel middle space, then a red laser like line flashes pointing at the upper right on the third reel. If you get two bells or whatever on the 1st and 2nd reel on the middle line, then the little red laser flashes out like a rake pointing to all three spots on the third reel. Its one of the reasons i enjoy it so much, the 7 line pay out makes it really fun.

The token hopper holds over 1000 tokens and is completely removable for cleaning. All light bulbs are easy to remove and replace. These machines are almost maintenance free!

I have a Zett-30 as well. Everything arbycoffee said is true. But there are some downsides as well.

The larger tokens are fun to play with (they feel much more substantial). But, if you are going to end up with a collection of machines you might find it more convenient if all your machines used the same size tokens. And, most machines use the smaller ones.

The Zett is a bit simple. The theme isn't all that interesting, and there's not much in the way of extra game play. This makes it perfect for someone that's into customizing machines (that's what I bought mine for) because you don't have to worry about how those extra features match up with your intended theme.

All the Nets are build like tanks. I have a Hound Dog, which looks a lot like the Zett, but uses small tokens, adds a LED display above the reels, and has a much more interesting theme, even playing guitar cords as you stop the reels.

So, it really depends on what your looking for. Most of us got so excited about pachislos that we rushed in to the hobby and bought our first few without much thinking. If I had it to do over, I'd take my time. There are always interesting machines turning up on eBay, and if you're willing to wait you eventually find a machine that's a good match to what you want theme-wise and selling for a good price.

Agreeed, its all about taking your time. If you live near any of us, or anyone does for that matter. Most of us woudl be happy to show our machines and offer some insight too!

I haven't played the Zett... but have heard many good things about it, and the Net machines in general.

I DO have a Double Challenge. I think it's under-rated, and usually can be had for a decent price. It's a Rodeo.
The right side features an LED display... not LCD, but still pretty cool animations. The music is really cool during big bonus, and especially during AT bonus. (They call it "Angel Bonus"). Some voices are Japanese, but you'll get the drift of what they are saying (the devil's laugh can be understood in ANY language!)

Here's a writeup I did about it one time:

It's the classic battle of Good vs. Evil in this interactive slot! Unique half-round Rodeo styling with a "fourth reel" LED display that features the hero (Angel) and her foe (Devil) helping you play for bigger winnings... or teasing you when you lose! Great fun! Colors are vivid and the music is great... it raises your pulse with anticipation during bonus rounds, and has a jazz-fusion like tune during the special AT (assisted) "Angel bonus". (Even the Devil gets dancing to THAT one!) You can even "push your luck" in the Angel bonus and go for up to 3000 bonus spins! That's about a 30 to 1 shot, but when you hit it, it's exciting (and also exhausting!) The machine will also let you know at different points in the game, which buttons to push, by indications in the LED panel, reel lights, and lit stop buttons.

The solution to your problem of deciding which one to get is simple.
Buy them BOTH! You will eventually, anyhow!
And these two can usually be had at a very reasonable price, compared to many.

Damn!!! I cant thank you guys enough!!! I got into to pachi's through a friend who was selling them, and have taken to buying wholesale (6 packs) myself. By the time I receive them, they are sold!! I am making enough cut to keep a couple for every six I buy, but I am thinking its better to scout out the ones I like and buy them outright. I have another shipment being delivered tomorrow with a 007 in it, and that one will probably be a keeper, but so far it has been hard to hold on to any due to the demand.

Thanks again for the pachi wisdom.

There is a dirty word censor on this forum. Just wait until you type h-e-l-l.
