Default Azteca Legend error I can't clear

My Azteca Legend just started showing the following error messages on the LCD screen. It alternates between this:

    http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...073/error1.jpg

    and this:

    http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...073/error2.jpg

Any ideas? I have tried resetting it and leaving it unplugged for a couple of days.

have you checked your hopper for a jam, you can manually turn it either way.

or how about checking all your connections

Mine did the same thing a few times when hopper was empty. I had to do the major reset a few times in a row and then it worked. Why it didn't reset on the first try, I don't know. I usually have to do it 2, 3, or 4 times - Go figure?

Id say a coin is jamed, or a wire has come unplugged. Make sure hte hooper is plugged in tight and also look to make sure all the wires from the coin mech are connected also!

I have checked all of the fuses, plugged and unplugged all of the connectors, reset the you-know-what out of it, checked the hopper and the coin mechanism and everything seems to be normal. I don't know........maybe the coin mechanism has gone bad??? I wish I could read Japanese.

None of the boxes with the error codes are highlighted and the entire front of the machine is dark...other than the LCD screen.

I got it from DGI (Skillstop.com) when their traveling show came through. I have been wrestling with a broken computer all day, so I didn't have time to call their support line. It will take quarters but I don't see how that would prevent it from resetting.....but maybe I missed something, I am pretty new to this world of Pachislo.

If taking the hopper out, shaking it, and spinning the rotor (token dial inside) doesn't release a bent token or something... perhaps a call to DGI might be your best bet here.

There are a few members that can read Japanese, and might be able to make sense of those pics... but Japanese characters are often intricate. They will probably need a better shot to look at.

The same troubleshooting question I ask when repairing anything...
What was it doing when you first got this error message?
Was it paying out? Were you loading tokens for credits?? Did you just turn it on? The key to finding your answer might be... what was it trying to do that forced it into this error? It sure doesn't look like HJ or HE or any other codes are lit from that pic.

You say it does this when you turn it on now. Does it also do this immediately after a master reset? Can you even get to the reset "menu" at all??? (Power off, Reset key on, Power on)

O.K. here are some better pics...I think. I had to turn them to grayscale so they would come in under the 120K requirement of the photo hosting site. I can email larger, higher quality pics if needed.

I first got the error when I first powered the machine on the other morning. It had been working fine the night before. I did find out that my wife tried to adjust the volume by turning the "volume knobs" inside the door...............Thats right folks, she tried to adjust the volume by turning the light bulbs  . I found that one had fallen out and into the overflow bin, but other than that she swears that she didn't do anything else. Thanks for all of the input thus far.

It's not a standard 'coin stuck' error. If you notice, none of the options are highlighted on that error page. I have a customer that has a machine showing this problem also; should have the machine picked up in about a week or so and will hopefully be able to add more then (unless you guys figure it out by then!)

A standard reset doesn't clear the error, and nothing is stuck in the coin path or hopper...

I don't remember ever seeing that screen when I did have a coin jam. If I remember correctly I just had a "CJ" come up in the LED window and nothing on the screen, but I'm not sure. I am about to wear a blister on my chin standing if front of this machine going HMMMMM!
