Default Pay out light & switch

I have a Yamasa, Epsalan that I got a couple weeks ago. Ever so often I get dashes on the pay out screen and 3 or 4 beeps at the same time. Why does that happen? Also what is the red button and the top right switch on the power box for? Right now it is in the on position.

    Thanks

The top switch is determining whether you want to have to do a major reset after a bonus round or not. Leave it up if you don't want to do this. The red button lights up the "H" light on the cpu. Other than that, I have no idea what its for? It doesn't seem to have any effect on the machine at all.

Thanks Tulsa for the answer about the switch. I am considering an auto stop for this machine. Which is better the one from PachisloUSA that is a DIY or the one from PachisloSlots. I thought that the one that is DIY is quite a bit cheaper also if I screw it up I can get the other and swap it out.

Id actually go with one of them from Stealth, ive bought all of mine from there and never had a problem. Also I dont mind paying more to not solder, i dont always want the chip in the machine, espcially if its gonna be resold at some point!

Does stealth's auto stop have the credit mod now? Pachislousa does. I am not buying them for the auto stop. It is the credit function that i want more. Fifty credits at a push of a button! GOOD  .

The problem I see with 50 credits at that push of a button is that you end up having to fill the hopper more often.

Sure, it saves the player a little work, but I'm the one that has to fill all the hoppers. #$@% the players, I want to make my life as easy as possible.

What I'd like to see is a simple - push a button, get 1 credit - mod that is ultra cheap and ultra easy to install. Possibly using the worthless 1 bet button on a max bet machine. That mod might let you get around the gambling laws in all states. I think most state laws say the you have to bet something of value. Unfortunately some states say that a token is something of value. If a push of a button puts a credit on the machine, then you've just constructed a case where a token has exactly the same value as a push of the button - essentially zero.

Of course the 50 credits mod accomplishes the same thing. But I'd like something with a near zero cost, and something that would require just as much work from the player as putting in tokens. That is, I don't want anybody to actually use the button, I want it there just in case a legal question ever comes up.

I think the problem is that there is a pair of light sensors. The coin ends up breaking the beams as it rolls by.

So ypu've got 2 problems. You don't want more light from a bulb, you want to break the beam. And 2, I think there is a timing issue and the 2 sensors have to see a gap in the timing that's equal to that caused by a coin rolling past them.

The price for the electronic end of it would be about the same... whether it would be one credit or for 50 (actually 53) credits.

To do one credit at a time would just take a little re-write in the code of the PIC. I don't see that as being a big selling point though... I think most people would just want to fill up the credits and play. In it's current design, Rob's chip is pretty much maxed out on the number of pins to interface to switches. One push of the 3rd reel-stop button gets a load of credits. It could be done with a larger chip, however.

I do see your point, though... since you are the one filling the hoppers at your parties. But it's a two way thing for most people. Not only do they have to fill hoppers when winning, but have to open the machine to get more tokens if they're losing.

I lust finished installing the auto chip from Pachislousa. It is in a Babel. The auto is nice as a once in a while thing but the credit mod now that is nice    . Just a press of a button and you hear all those credits rack up!
