    Smile Neo Geo Project

This is going to be a long term project for me,

I will be adding to it piece by piece as I can spare the cash

I found the box at Goodwill filled with kids toys. I think it will be ideal because the size is about the size of a beer case, it had a sliding top and its already built

I won the one slot Neo Geo board on Ebay and also the MVS game cartridge.

I tested them and they are working!!

there are loads of MVS games for this setup, I just have to be very patient

I will get the wiring harness next, then real powersupply and joystick and button set.

I plan on beefing up one side and setting the box on its side with an arcade pad setup on built up side.

p.s. I need to have the right kind of monitor, the picture is just black and white now.

I konw you like pictures, its not much, but its a start!!

My neo-geo uses a WG 25" CGA monitor. A one slot board can use a standard jamma harness. If it was two or more slots then you would need the neo harness because of the select game button.

Making "consoles" out of the MVS will be a really fun activity. You can get some EXCELLENT tips/ideas from the forums out there.

    go to http://www.neo-geo.com
    links
and then to additional links link in the upper right, and see the enthusiast sites

Very cool, I used to collect NEO GEO stuff back in the day. Got rid of most of it. I still have my import Neo Geo Pocket and a few games. I can remember when the home console sold for over $700. For now I am happy with emulators out there.

    Smile Re: Neo Geo Project

I did snipe another neo geo board, mainly for the wiring harness that came with it.

under $30.00 for a larger size board and harness shipped

so right now I have 2 MVS games, 2 working boards and the wiring harness.

I also sniped a full neo geo joystick and button panel completely wired for a little over $30.00, I'm sill waiting for that to come.

If I buy the console on ebay now I could always resell everything I bought so far except for the games
