Some of the pachinkos came with plastic covers affixed to the ashtrays, with writing on them that I assume says "No smoking." Of course, maybe translated it really says, "Go find a pachislo to drop your cigarette in."

the reason for that is the community hopper system for pachinko and pachislo have individual hoppers, pachinkos are all built on the same rack and the have a little ashtray built in the rack which collects all the butts and disposes of them in big tubs of water . the reason for this is you need to have some one constatly vacum the butts up and in a pachinkos row you have tons of boxs full of balls it would be to difficult to do. slots all put the winnings on a self above the machine.

I don't smoke, but I specifically built the gameroom separate from the house so that my significant other would not have an objection to the occasional smoker that I play poker with. I also built several ventilation fans into the walls to vent everything outside. As far as I'm concerned, go ahead and use them as ashtrays in my room. I enjoy a cigar on rare occasions, but I've discovered the trays are too small to handle those!

Hanabi, if you ever visit my room, I'll make sure I have special bon-bon bowls just for you. (That is, unless you like the cigarette-flavored ones )

when I went to Catholic grade school, the store across the street sold fake cigarettes, some were candy and some blew powder out when you blew in them

people started calling the mother superior complaining about the little kids smoking on the playground

the store was told to stop selling them and they were banned in or around the school!!!

No just by regular sweet companies, I remember Chocolate Cigarettes when I was a child,

Also Coconut tobacco that came in a little pouch thing...

And Candy Sticks, white pretend cigarettes that even had a red tip at the end, and they still sell those in my local shops with cartoon characters on the pack, including Tom & Jerry, Spiderman, etc

I see the first ingredient is corn starch. About as inert as anything in food these days! But they are 'tasty'!
