Found a Tarot Master for sale

Hi everybody, I've found a Tarot Master for sale that is within local pickup distance from me - I'm sorely tempted to make it my first Pachislo. Haven't found a huge amount of info about it online but I did read a few threads on here and it sounds like a fun one! Anybody have any opinions on the "fun factor" if they've played it for awhile?

The person is asking $300 for it and I'm wondering if that's a fair price. Strikes me as a little steep, but it does sound like a fun machine.

I have always wanted one and would have bid on that one if it was closer to me.
I would try to talk them down to the $75-100 range.

75.00 to 100.00 is a fair price if its working and comes with both keys and some tokens

I never played Tarot Master but it seems like a very basic machine. If you have $300 to spend you can do way better. super blackjack, kingcamel, sindbad, beast sapp, Mumu world,Aladdin evolutions, death valley just to name a few. Even with shipping charges these could easily be had for under $300.

I think I found the Craigslist ad for what he was looking at. It's in CA and that's why the price is elevated. If it doesn't sell quickly, someone from the gaming commission will find the ad and come knocking on the door. That's how another member lost his machines a couple of years ago.

I spotted 4 of them for sale in my corner of CA. Lowest price was $200 for an old one with Japanese writing (unk make, model, I didn't recognize it). There's also a Dracula Returns model for $325. His ad says OBO, might be worth calling? Still way overpriced.

Yup, that's the one. Have people really gotten busted by the gaming comission? Ads for pachislo and vegas style machines seem to pop up every week, but what happens after that, I have no idea...

if they catch the ad or someone complains they come and take your machine or machines away. and possable charge you with owning a gambling device.

Take a look at these threads. He lived in the Sacramento area and I believe he tried to sell his machines either on Craigslist or Ebay.

There was a time only several years ago when CA companies were selling to Californians. That's all changed. Ebay started cracking down and warning people before they even bid. And then one of our members had his home entered and his machines seized by warrant. I haven't heard of it occurring since, but the poor guy was facing a misdemeanor and he lost his machines.

If you intend to buy one, just make sure you are aware of the law. I do not consider it likely your home will be entered. Do not use the machine for gambling, and do not attempt to sell it publicly on the internet. I understand the gaming commission here at one time aggressively went after sellers. Apparently, they've lightened up a bit, considering the number of ads I'm seeing.
