    Default power switches

I'm looking for a power switch solution for my machines. I want to be able to power them on/off individually. Some machines are together, and some are in different rooms. Power strips are cheap, but too much wire and wasted outlets (and not pet-safe either). I could install switches inside the machines (with the switch accessible from the back), but don't want to do that much work, or drill holes in my machines.

Ultimately, what I'd like to find is a power plug that goes inbetween the machine plug and the power outlet, that has a switch. Does anyone have a solution like this, or know of a device like I'm looking for? I've already browsed some of the shops (including Fry's) and not found anything like this.

and then you could put a surge protector right on the outlet

    I have installed foot switches
they are round with a button you step on supposedly made for lamps and such..

find it quite easy to use and install...

I use the radio remote control switches, you know, the type Target and Walmart sell for Christmas lights etc. I plug a power strip to them.

I found they contain they operate on identical frequencies, and some control two separate switches (A and B on the fob). They're cheap, about $10 around Christmas time.

The Ebay item that TakeTheCastle57 linked is a great idea...BUT. You can purchase that exact switch at your local hardware store for under $2. I installed them on my Pachislo and the Pachinko. It is very simple to install...just cut one of your wires on the power cord, insert each "cut end" into the switch and tighten the screw. You don't even have to strip the wires...there are "teeth" inside the ones I bought that make the contact for you! You might want to check that out!!
