    Default IGT slot arm

    alstonj1,

Hey! I received the IGT slot arm today. Thanks! Quick question. I looks like the trip it took getting here was a little rough. There is a broken plasctic piece and a black plastic cap (not sure where it goes). I have attached a picture showing where the plastic piece broke off. The remaining piece also has a couple cracks in it. Do you know if this is going to be a problem? Thanks for your help!

Typical usps i'm surprised their still in business . the piece that broke off doesnt look critical just glue it back on , as for the round piece ill have to dig out the other arm and see what it is i dont remember a piece like that on it .

I'm looking at an IGT handle mech right now and there is no black cap. I'm not sure what that piece is for.

I'm just cleaning up the parts now with some Eagle One Never Dull Wadding Polish. Parts are looking like new! I'm also painting the handle knob to look like an olive to match my Michael Godard themed machine (http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25481).

It's looking so good. Can't wait to install it.

    Thanks alstonj1!!

I understand how you can wire in the spin knob to the handle optic but how do you wire the handle's solenoid to unlock each time credits are accepted?

So the handle is always active. Well that makes sense and would be a lot easier.
I can't wait to see new pictures when you are all done. It is such a great looking machine and it keeps getting better.

    Chrisdice,

Thank you for the comments. I just can't stop working on it. Have so many ideas. As the new slot handle is going to have an olive for the knob, I have removed the olive that was on the spin knob and replaced it with a die. I also got a key ring to match the theme.

You removed the Olive??? NOOO...That was an awesome spin knob! At least replace it with a cherry or twist of lime.

chris the handle isn't active till the credits are inserted same as the spin knob isn't active if you pull it with out inserting tokens . you could make the selinoid work with the spin light with a 12 volt power source and a 24 volt relay or changing the coil to a 24 volt one but if the power is off or some one pulls the handle while its locked it could pull the cabinet over so i don't recommend using the lock (I take mine off)
