Why spend $11.00 on two cheap single channel pots when you can have a two channel L-Pad for $9.00?

His price is way too high, and his BS stinks!

You can get the same pots for $1.40 each at Mouser Electronics.

Yeah, those look like the cheap ones... They're also don't appear to be beefy enough to handle the power our machines deliver, and would probably suffer the same burning fate as others have experienced.

You'd be a lot better off ordering a couple 250-500 ohm pots rated 2W or higher. Those are much larger than the ones in that auction. Fry's sells them if you happen to have one local to you...

PS - Yeah, for the price, might as well get an L-pad for less money...

    HeRRO everyone,

FOR THE RECORD: I am not a huge fan of thjis sellers auctions... BUT

I decided to put some of my own money where everyone else's mouths were... and bought a few of these

They work VERY nicely indeed, and deliver a FULL range of volume, NOt just the last "fraction of a spin" of a turn.

    Nice clean sound.

I will be buying a bunch more, because the ad isn't BS (this time ).

MY only complaint... the price was for 1 pot. So VERY VERY VERY expensive, but good quality, and small.

Have you been in a fever round with them installed yet? Get that constant sound flowing through them with the volume turned down. Let us know what they do... That is when most of the pots I have burn up.

Also, if they didn't remove the part number; see if you can buy the same one on Mouser, or one of the other electronics sites. They should be about $1.40 each.

    Usually a good thing.

I'd have to re-justify pachinko expenditures to myself if my socks burst into flames every time I got a fever. That'd get expensive.

That's simply a function of LINEAR vs LOGARITHMIC range (you can get all pots in either configuration).

Electronically speaking, a variable pot at the same resistance setting will yield exactly the same result.

Sadly, it still is BS... Get a much lower value (250 ohm), logarithmic scale, higher power handling pot (2W+), and you'll do much better than these.

Here are the simple facts from my DIRECT (not theoretical) experience.

)) VERY EASY to install !!! Small, and double-stick foam tape allows you to tuck them away

)) The moment you begin to turn the volume... you begin to hear sound. The sound smoothly and consistently goes up, until the pot hits the stop. I love this kind of control.

)) I have used them for about 4 days now fevers and all, and they work great. (time will tell if they "burn the path" or not)

)) I have used a wide range of pots over the last few years, from cheap to expensive. L-Pads are not an option for me as they are SOOOO huge, and for my frames that have 3 or more speakers, it can get very expensive - and they look horrible, no matter what kind of enclosure you put them in. They are not worth it (MY OPINION).

So since I have ACTUALLY bought, touched, installed, used, and reviewed these. I thought it might be another option for all of my pachi-pals.

Again; they are expensive, but I am in contact with Curt to get some more, maybe I can get a volume discount (snicker)

    Thanks for reading
