Jurassic Park Dropped on it's head by UPS

Hi,

When I got this machine, the T-Rex eye/jaws didn't move at all, and the mech was jammed (stuck I should say). I disassembled the cell, and kinda' freed, and repaired the jammed mech.

NOW when the the machine powers up... the eye looks around and moves up to show the jaws, and then moved back to the eye.

The eye looks left and right during certain reaches, but I haven't seen the T-Rex jaws at all ;(

Can someone/anyone describe when I should be seeing it. Videos would be MOST helpful, but I would be very pleased to get any information at all,

I have hit about 10 fevers on JP and have never seen the jaws. I was begining to think they were a myth. I can't find any pictures or video of them either.

I saw them in the mech LOL so I know they exist, thanks for the tidbit tho' - we either have a common problem or working machines

I've seen the jaws a couple of times... It happens during certain reaches. Do you have the day or night machine? I have the night one (lightning bolts all over the cell). Maybe it doesn't happen on the day machine?

I'll have to play it again (been a little while) and see exactly where it happens...

Yes, you do see the jaws when you turn the machine on. Mine makes the eye move, shows the jaw and makes it open/close, and also 'breaks the barrier' when I turn it on.

Interesting you say the mouth opens and closes during startup... Mine shows the eye looking left and right, then moved the jaw up , and then just kinda "flicks" the jaw, and then drops the eye back down.

In your opinion... would you say it is "rare" to see the jaws ?

By the way... I do not believe there is a difference between the mechanics in the day or night versions.

It should be just a different paint job.

(Could very well be wrong, though.)

I have...I mean Billy has the day version. The eye moves during start up but doesn't show the jaws... I'm wondering if there is something wrong??? I have seen the eye move a lot during reaches, so I don't think its jammed..but now I'm not sure. Hmmmm.

i can tell you now, mine doesn't go up and down like that. The eye moves but the whole assembly dosen't go up and down. I'll take you a video when I get home.

Well I took apart the assembly looking for a lose wire or something wrong but was unable to see any issues. I put it back together and now it goes up and down showing the teeth. Strange.
Well this is the second time I had an issue that I was unaware of.
I never would of know there was a problem since the eye did move back and forth. I just figured everything was working correctly and the jaws was either extremely rare of just a myth. Thanks rubberratt and Rik1138.

Just hit a fever!! I saw the jaws on the reach right before the fever and the teeth showed up again twice or three times during the fever.

When mine shows the jaw the mouth doesn't open. It goes up shows the jaw, kinda of twitches and clicks a second then drops back down. Do I still have an issue??
