    Default Our Local Olympian

Our local cross country runner Ryan Hall will be competing in the 2008 Bejing Olympics.

Ryan was born and raised here in Big Bear and is an outstanding athlete. Must be the high altitude.

He are all very proud of him and wish him the best in his quest for Olympic Gold.

C'mon people, How many of you have signed up with the lighthouse project??

It's called "Move a million miles for Ryan Hall"

It's meant to get people out and get some exercise. They are up to over 560,000 miles and there is only one month to go before the olympics.

So get off the couch and walk, run, bike, hike, rollerblade, or just count the steps from the couch to the fridge, just as long as your moving..

I'm up to 57 miles in the last 3 weeks.

So If I can get my lazy butt moving, What's stopping you??

(And 12 oz. curls don't count)

There is a program to track mouse mileage, but I can't recall the name.

For those interested, Ryan Hall will be running in the Mens Marathon event this evening.
It's the final event of the olympics.

I found out today that this was only his fourth marathon. (I thought he had been in more than that)

So to finish that high in a field of the best in the world isn't too shabby.

Heck, I couldn't run two miles, let alone 26.2 M
