Default Watching Sumo or a great way to spend a Sunday Afternoon

Last Sunday my son and I attended the Grand Sumo Tournament in Los Angeles at the Sports Arena
Doors opened at 4pm about 4:30 we were entertained with Taiko-Uchiwake Drumming
5pm was 9 little kids vs 3 Sumo's (Kids 4 Sumo 5) this was very entertaining, the smallest boy looked about 4 and got picked up and set out of the ring by the Sumo.
Next was an Abbot and Costello type demo of things you can't do in Sumo
Then the entering of the Ring by all the wrestlers and the Ring Ceremony by the Yokzuna (Top ranked wrestlers)
Then the excitment begins we got to see 41 matches over about 3 hours
    All by top ranked Sumo
If you ever get a chance to see real sumo in person you will have a great time.

It's a great way to spend time for sure. Of course, for those who don't live in CA, I would recommend checking the ESPN listings once a month.

They run a one to two hour sumo special on the latest tournaments and have an excellent announcer.

"And the cushions go flying! What an upset!"

    Sorry.
Currently Own: Nothing. I play mostly online now.
