Cool, seeing as how my 360 just got the Ring of Death 3 hrs ago. Maybe I should pick one up while I wait for Microsoft to send me a shipping coffin.

The really slap in the face is that they actualy have the lights up front of the 360 saying silently "I'm gonna Break Down on you , Guarantee!"

did you call customer service, try reseating your hard drive and HDMI cable hooked up to the 360.
I have always left mine upright for better cooling, heat rises and goes out from the top vents.
they have extended their ring of death warrenty 3 years to orginal owners.

my son stuck a ps2 game in his ps3 and got a fatal error, it wouldn't clear up and support couldn't help him, but he did buy a 3 year extended warrenty from bestbuy

Lol, they just don't make em like snes and genesis any more! premature hardware failure is all too common now. All this stuff is running much closer to tolerance, I think the hot weather were having here in Cleveland had something to do with the death of my 360. A few more degrees than the crappy lead free solder on the motherboard could handle!

lucky, the 40GB PS3 won't play PS2 games. The 80GB PS3 will play most PS2 games.
