New PachiTalk Logo - Contest

Lets get creative,

I know in the past our attempts at creativity have not been well lets just say "FRUITFUL" but who knows things change and this time we may be able to get it right

so here goes..

Lets have a Logo design contest

the new logo will be used as follows

1) as the official PachiTalk logo
2) PachiTalk merchandise (should any ever be created)

the contest is open to everyone. so post your designs here...

the designs submitted will be put up for a vote and the winning Logo will be decided by our members..

now the fine print.
1) logo design contest will have a 1 month duration, all entries must be submitted by July 1st 2008
2) by submitting your logo you agree that it can be used by the site freely and that the logo becomes the property of the PachiTalk communitee
so basically if you win and your logo is used, and for some reason you get into a huff with Sid cuz he removed one of your posts and you get all knicker noted about it and decide to leave, dont be asking for the logo to be taken down etc.
3) submitted logos are to be of a serious nature. I know it sometimes hard to do this here... but lets try... to keep this serious..
4) Multiple submissions are welcome

What size do you think the logo should be ?
Should it be more stretched in width, as the top banner of the site, or more square ?

150 pixels high on average.

As far as width goes, it's very subjective as the current header is made up of three separate images with expanding black sections in between to allow for varying screen widths. Longer single images can be made to work but it might take some blending.

Not a graphics guy, so here's my 2 cents...

I like what Tulsa has designed, specifically the photos of the parlors. I would like to see a banner that is dynamic; one that maybe changes each time it's opened. Not so much the logo itself, unless the image is incorporated into the logo, but images surrounding the logo. A slow scroll would be cool also!!

Clarification question. Are we looking to change the whole top banner or just the center or just the edges?

If it gets to comlicated or to many colors , that can cause a problem with copy and embrodery work and digitizing , Just something to think about

One of my ideas that was tossed around awhile back when Tulsa was thinking about changing the logo became the pic in my signature. Without my name in it of course.

And a fine picture it is.

It's just not what I was looking for at that time.

Now it's up to what Sid wants or envisions as the ultimate logo. I had envisioned a blending of pachinko balls on the left and tokens on the right both blending into infinity with a mix of a machine or two. Unable due to my total lack of artistic ability to move forward, the status quo of the original design remained.

Now Sid is moving forward with a change of some kind and I whole heartedly agree as it's been needed for quite some time. The original design was tossed together at the same time the entire site was being designed and between David and myself, we settled on what was acceptable without having the benefit of being "awesome".

Sid has the opportunity of getting that awesome factor and he has always shown the desire to be open to everyone's opinions.

So produce what you can, give it your best shot as you never know what a crazy Greek might like..
