You were not the only one checking this
But actually a 2 euro coin is .75 mm bigger, which most machines could detect. Don't know if you could fool a human cashier with it...
These tokens are also noticible less heavy (5... grams versus 8... grams).
If it would work, you have to spend 25 $ for 'money' that's worth 1000 €
