can't open my Monkey vs Crab

My key has been lost and i can't figure out how to open this thing. I reached in through the hole at the bottom but my arm wont fit in there too far and i can't figure out exactly what it is i have to do to open it. Can anyone point out what it is im missing?

also...where can i buy a new lock? do they carry these at the hardware store?
