Default Bought a DDK as second machine

Yes that's right, I've bought a Don Don King for a second machine and the first one is still on the way! Seeing that my wife's birthday is one week after Christmas I thought it would make a fun gift for her...again. The first one I ordered (Time Cross) is for her for Christmas :smt111 . I'm taking a bit of a chance with this one compared to the first one I ordered from Pachinko Pallace. PP has been awesome thus far. In fact the first machine arrived today, only three days after buying it  . Unfortunately I wasn't at home when FedEx came knocking so I'll have to wait for redelivery tomorrow  . I bought the second one from SlotUSA, despite several posts that state bad communication and slow shipping times. I just e-mailed them today to ask when they approximate shipping. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

Wow what if your wife hesitates on the first one? I hope she digs it man, I think you made a good choice with the DDK, because that is sure to light up a gameroom nicely and be a good conversation piece, not to mention a fun 6 reeler. What was your first one? I am waiting to fire up my Beast Sapp that I am giving my wife to give to me for Christmas, he he he. Hope you receive #2 in good order.

you will get an email from them saying processed in 3 to 5 days.

and if you are lucky they will send an email when it actually ships.

shipping to florida for me was usually 10 days to 2 weeks after paying for bid.

but, they do stand behind their product and will bend over backwards to please you

I've convinced my wife that we should wait until after Christmas b/c prices will be cheaper, etc. She seemed a little bummed, but thought it was a good idea. I think I've got her fooled.

Luckydog, thanks for the scoop on SlotUSA, it's good to know that they stand behind their merchandise regardless of shipping efficiency.

BTW, I admire your patience Bsap  .

Here's a question for everyone: how hard are these machines to move around? I know they weigh about 90 pounds or so, but are they a manageable 90 pounds? Balanced, etc? I'd like to have the machine by the tree for Christmas, but then we will move it to the basement. Is this realistic?

luckydog might have a point there depending on how old you are might make it easier, im only 18 so its not a problem for me but if your older it might not be as easy

Well, I'm 30 but I've injured my back a few times. Despite that, from what I'm hearing it seems that these machines are user--or should I say mover--friendly!

It's all a matter of displacing the weight. Sometimes the handles are in unique locations on the machine, positioned to high to be of real value. I find it easiest to move around by grabbing them from the back, one hand high and one low.

Just remember if your slot is on the ground, use your legs to lift it and save your back.

If I have to carry one across the room, I just do that by hand. If I'm moving it much farther I use a hand truck that I picked up at Home Depot.

I'd post a link to it but the Java script on their web site screws it up. But here's the info: Gleason Light Weight Nylon/Poly Convertible Hand Truck
Model 60610 It cost under $40 on the website. I bought it at the store a couple of months ago.

It has big tires and stair glides so I can actually take a pachislo up or down a flight of stairs by myself. (Much easier going down into the basement than up - that's my rationalization for buying machines, but not selling them - don't want to have to take them up the stairs.)

Arby, how many toys did you have when you were 18 and how many do you have now? Still want to be 18 again?

Thanks for the good tips everyone. I should have bought that hand truck a few months ago when I bought a new clothes dryer. And slid it down the stairs. Over new carpet. In the nice clean Home Depot box.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Received an e-mail from SlotUSA informing me that they have shipped the Don Don King! Not to bad seeing as I ordered on 12/20. Maybe they're reading the posts here and have worked on their communication  ? Anyway, I'll post in "Vendors" under "SlotUSA" when I receive the machine and let everyone know how the entire transaction went.

Got the DDK in today and have been having a *blast* cleaning it up and playing with it. Daughter just got home and is starting her Christmas break and is thrilled to have the new machine in the gameroom to play.

The machine just had its first big payout since arriving in the new home. GREAT!!!
