Default My First Transaction With Hiro at CF Export

I just received my Julie the Pinball from Hiro at CF Export, and all I can say is WOW!

Hiro has his act together! I was expecting to receive a machine that would at least need some minor cleaning, but It looks like new. It does have a few small marks on the frame, but that is to be expected. I would have to guess that he has a cell cleaner because the playing field shines like new.

He included 1000 authentic Pachinko balls, a very professional looking key (may be original), volume controls, and a transformer pre-installed.

The machine came shrink wrapped, bubble wrapped, boxed, and padded with foam pieces. It was then boxed again with another layer of foam between the boxes.

I paid $285.00 for Julie and $69.00 for shipping. It was about $30.00 (total) more than Slot-Pachinko, but from what I can tell; well worth it!

I hope to head down to SoCal to buy a few more machines from Hiro in a couple of weeks. I will be taking orders from some of the guys at work who are now interested in the hobby. They have been at my desk drooling over Julie all day.

Hiro's a great guy to deal with. I've purchased several machines from him and everyone was in excellent condition. AAA+++

Now I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow so I can play some more. See... this is my way of making myself look forward to going to work everyday. So far nobody has complained about the noise.

Ditto... Hiro's the best! I've lost track how many machines and cabinets I've purchased from him now, as every trip ends up with a car load of machines.

I have a Star Wars at work, and our VP has a Robocop on his desk (thanks to me picking it up from Hiro). Both of us get a lot of attention at work, as you would expect...

I understand the whole attention thing. My desk was getting swamped with people all day. My VP's assistant was at my desk playing Julie today, and suggested that I show my VP. She said it looked like something he would like, and figured we may get him one as a gift from the department this year.

I don't know that having a Pachinko machine on your desk would fly in every department at my work, but we tends to get away with a little more than we should. Plus I think they figure it's better than the saltwater aquarium I did have on my desk.

There may be more machines on desks at my work after I make that trip to Hiro's. I hope to get an updated inventory list , and take orders before I go down there. My boss and I are planning a trip for the 25th, so I may come back with a truck load of machines.

You guys have pachis at WORK??? You must certainly have volume controls...but even then...

When I play them at home, it's in the basement. And if I forget to shut the door, I get in trouble from the "boss". I can't imagine getting away with it in this office.

I have 2 Star Wars (the tie fighter version is at work), and with the space issue at home it works out great. Getting the VP interested to the point he wanted a Robocop helps the case too... I work in R&D, and am in a secure room, so I don't get a lot of traffic, but the VP is in the office area and therefore gets a lot of attention with his machine. I don't play it much at work, but demonstrating the machine when people stop by to look at it is a great excuse to have some fun!

I've attached a picture I just took with my cell phone. The PachiTalk window open on the computer is this very reply!

It's great to see Pachinkos hard at work.

Volume controls are a big yes... I have yet to run into any issues over noise, but I am careful about the times I play it. Early in the morning, at lunch, and after 5 are about the only times I really play. I can run a few balls through it here and there throughout the day. It's pretty laid back at my work. It's an engineering facility, so we are all a bunch of big kids.

It's only been here for two days now, but everyone who would have complained has already seen it.

That is so cool to have them at work. I doubt that will fly at my mine, because I still can't get on PT. I even tried under someone elses login.

I so want a job where I can have toys in my office!

He did at one time, but no longer keeps it up. I'm not sure why he doesn't...

They finally blocked PT on both our CORP and PROD domains - probably due to the websense subscription, but I fired up CORD (remote desktop client for MacOS) and remote desktop to my home computer, where I can browse anywhere I please, without corp IT snooping...

Get a job in R&D... They usually want you to let your mind loose to problem solve and come up with new ideas. Most everyone wears headphones and listens to music all day, so we're in our own little world. Amazing how well that works...

Hmmm, maybe I can figure out how to do the same.

I just checked my connection that is on Websense, and it allows me right through to pachitalk.com. Maybe my work is a little more lenient than yours?

I would have to agree... I'm an engineer at a large company, and have full run of the Internet. We have what we call our EDN (Engineering Development Network), and it's the only network not filtered by Websense. Also, we tend to get away with things that they wouldn't be able to do in other areas of the company. John can relate since he too has a Pachinko on his desk.

I bought a few games from the old CFI, but I ASSUME, that they are under new management.

But we all know what happens when you ASSUME right?
