Well, I don't think $199 is a bargain price. Especially when you can get a machine from Gaku at $99 in great shape. At $199, they need to up the quality on the product. Over a year ago we were paying $79 for new machines in half way decent shape. So these people are making $129 more in profit then the other sellers... Just my two cents worth. (That is 1 cent in euros).

Now back to the real world. Good luck with your working with the Vendor to fix the Problems. A crack in the frame might have happened during shipping. How well was or wasn't it Packed? Either way They should make good on it if they did not tell you it had a defect before it left the store.

That Lame excuse for a Key never should have left the store. And they should have made a least an attempt to clean it up a bit before shipping it.

I myself would not clean it up or attempt the key mod until you come to a final decision as to the repair / replacement / refund on it with them. I've, in the past emailed pictures back to a vendor of problems with a sour machine. And followed up with a phone call or two.

Their warranty. : Slot Machines-Pachinko Machine Sales, Parts and Service

(I don't like the bit about "it will be repaired or replaced at no additional charge to the customer" then in the very same paragraph they state " any associated shipping costs are sole the responsibility of the customer".) :bsflag:
Their "About Us page" (Note second Paragraph from the bottom) : Slot Machines-Pachinko Machine Sales, Parts and Service

I would say you have valid complaints about the Machine and they should keep up their end of the sale with the warranty / customer service that they are disclosing on their Web Site.

The main question here is do they ship directly or use a Drop shipper?

If they shipped it directly they knew the condition of the machine before it left them.

If they use a Drop shipper, They need to contact them and get the issues taken care of. Their business address in in Mesquite Texas. Does the Shipping label or Tracking number if they gave you one state from where the machine started it's journey to you? If the point of origin is not Mesquite Texas they are drop shipping.

After being blamed for his/their company being 2/3rds in the red this year, Mark told me that the fault must be with the Los Angeles FedEx Courier. I made it crystal clear that the damage to both machines (Indy and now this) was not my responsibility, asked for a FedEx Pickup and exchange. I was then told that he may not have this item in stock.

Funny since he just sold one on eBay and has one on sale on his website.

Why was he able to pull up my file on a computer though couldn't pull up his inventory?

I've seem the Super Sea Story on Yahoo.Japan, the price 13000 yens, plu ems and 10% agent fees along with packing materials.

similar pricing with other pachinkos there too.

then you still need to clean them, then, add a transformer and balls, plus a key to the cost.

they are selling it on Ebay for $199.99, so, prices are still well within reason on Ebay here even with shipping.

too bad they don't put more effort in detailing and packing.

I think if this is your business, you must take pride in selling your product and make it the best it can be. Of course, we all understand that these are re-sale items...but even the Goodwill washes and presses their clothing before resale!

If you guys know of any leads on a new or used door then let me know asap. I would rather get a new door and lock than to deal with this company again.

I was going to buy a Julie Pinball from Slot-Pachinko at their $249.00 price, but with all of the bad news lately; I have decided to pick one up from Hiro for an additional $40.00. It's worth the extra $40 to get a machine that will be clean and in good condition. Hiro has a good reputation from what I can see, and sounds like an honest and reliable dealer. I will let everyone know how it goes since this will be my first transaction with Hiro. I think I may put this one on my desk at work for a few days just to see the reaction.

I understand your frustration, but you really should make them take care of the problem. Why should you throw your money away because they screwed up? At least tell them about the problem, and see what they say. It would be interesting to hear their response, and even more importantly; know if they take care of you.

Then we would know if they can be trusted.

I know Hiro has the locks and keys available, maybe he has the door as well. You can contact him at Hiroshi Itoh [gameplanett@yahoo.com].

    Also,

I found a frame on Yahoo Japan. If my conversion is correct it is sitting at a $1.00US right now and would ship within Japan for $20.00US. I am not sure what it would cost to get it in to the states. Maybe someone can help out with that information.

Actually, I received that same key from SP with my Julie the Pinball. It works in Julie, and all my other machines also. I did replace it with a real key from Hiro @ CF though (he charges $5 for a real key). No tumbler modifications necessary. If it doesn't work, a real key from CF shouldn't work either.

Also, that 'ball basket' from SP is a bit of a joke (like any default accessory that comes free with any product). Maybe I'm just spoiled getting real pachinko trays from CF with each machine.

I actually picked up a Thunderbirds Classic from Hiro today. I asked him if he knew anything about S-P.com and had no idea. I also brought along a friend that is new to the whole Pachinko thing. He really liked how Hiro does business. When we got home I had my buddy compare machines. He was shocked how shabby the S-P.com was.

Hiro has more Julie's in stock? Last I heard he was sold out, and only had a cell. That's why I got my Julie from SP...

That's all fine and dandy LD except these guys don't buy their stock 1 machine at a time, The buy about 80 or however many gets packed into a container for about 20 bucks apiece. So, you see their profit margin is very high and they don't even take the time to check them out first. And don't forget the shipping and handling mark up.

I got a hold of www.eye-product.com, they seem really honest and got me not to bid on the item, this is what happened.

    JSpirtos:

I'm looking to purchase a frame door for my Ultraman Pachinko: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f66633363. Can you tell me how much they are asking for and approximately how much shipping? How much would be your fee ? Would you bid on my behalf?

    Respectfully,
    Jayson Spirtos

    EyeProduct:

    Dear Jayson,

I need to know where you live so that I can check the shipping cost from japan to ur place. Commissio fee would be 10% of the item(or 1000yen/each order) and 10% of the shipping cost.

    Best Regards,
    Kiai

    *******************

    JSpirtos:

Thank you for getting in touch with me so fast. I live in Los Angeles, California. Zip code 90049. Does the auction state what condition the frame is in? Is the auction for the whole frame or just the door?

    *******************

    EyeProduct:

    Dear Jayson

the seller didn't mention any condition of the frame.
better not to expect the better condition with the price he offers. ( BIN at 200yen)
it seems the glass is not included.

shipping cost from Japan to the US would be 27000yen.

    Best Regards,
    Kiai

Thank you for your time, hope we can do business in the future.

    JSpirtos...

Are you mechanically inclined? If no... then do not read any further... if yes... read on.

The part on your frame that is cracked... is unscrewable and replaceable (IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING). I would ask Slot-Pachinko to send you just the part, (or the door) and see if their attitude changes.

Slot-Pachinko should clean their machines, make sure they are not damaged and work perfectly before selling - no excuse. No doubt they are making money or wouldn't be doing it so the product should be in good condition. Hiro sold his for < $100, closed down on e-bay and now is selling for as much as Slot-P. But as JSpirtos is seeing - get ready to pay $$$ to import if a major volume vendor is not around.
