I had 3 auctions shut off by eBay today and 3 left alone. Same wording in all of em too. Crazy stuff. 2 of em were ending today too at decent prices. Whether you state they are readily converted or not, I am sure that eBay considers them readily converted and it appears after reviewing eBay's AUP, if the slot is readily convertible, you have to have the disclaimer. The strange thing is that the disclaimer they are looking for is for antique slots and does not include the same list of states that the readily converted non-coin operated slots. I bet that's the change, a new disclaimer. Too bad too, sold a good percentage of slots to people in NJ this season. 2 went out today... The new disclaimer will probably be something like this:

slot machines that can be readily converted to use for coins or currency are treated as coin-operated machines and prohibited in Alabama, California, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Oregon. Therefore, buyers and sellers in those states may not participate in those listings.

Damn, all of my top markets :-)

OH, to top it all off, Paypal limited my account 3 days ago for the same reason. Selling items that were in violation of the AUP. Scariest day as I had 3 auctions end and couldn't receive money! They also trapped about $1K in the account until they reinstated my account later the next day. I called and sent about 5 emails pointing out that the items were not in violation, etc and it was about 36 hours that they had me shut off or "limited" as they call it.

I only keep $69 dollars in my paypal account. Just in case I see something I want really bad, the shipping is already paid for! 8-)

Sorry but to me all this means is that it looks like a lot of bargains will be coming up on Pachislos and soon. Time to get the sniping finger ready :!:

From the seller's standpoint, will it really affect the values of the machines? Just put the legality in there and keep on selling.

What would be aggravating is having to relist and having to lose the sales that were already occuring. Seems like eBay could have left the existing auctions up until they completed with a warning that in 7 days, or whatever time, no more auctions without the legal wording in there. EBay's timing is ridiculous right before Christmas.

Haha! Well, since I've overpaid for everything so far, guess I might as well join in, Mr Lew! Perhaps, can make up for the high prices paid just prior to Christmas. C'mon snipe finger... C'mon..... I think I'm getting it?

Just tell yourself over and over, not before 7 seconds left, not before 7 seconds left. Oh and click your heels together 3 times.

Jesus! They did it to me again WITH the disclaimer in there. What the hell does it take! I only did 2 auction but dammit, this is ridiculous. They want the antique disclaimer in there I guess. I had the non-coin operated one in there. dang it dang it dang it. I did have 1 auction end today. To New Jersey :-)

    Just kidding, Arby.

Actually, I'm not in the market for anything for awhile. Think will wait a bit, finish getting the gameroom set up to my liking and then see what additions are needed...
