I found this blog to be a good read, providing insight to the halcyon days of 8-bit games and Atari. It brought back some warm memories and my first experience with computers.

thats a great read. I'm glad I was around for the beginning of gaming.

I still have almost all the old atari game and computer systems, but haven't played any for ages.

I spent 6 months in front of the tv doing a text adventure game on a TI99-4A in the early 80's. that was my only attempt at programming.

I called it the Adventures of Sir Brian. when I got done I think it was around 6k and had sound, color and music added. named after my first son.

I still have it on tape along with a recorder and TI99-4A.
