Looks like a nice machine! Don't know if it works or not, and replacement parts would be a nightmare i'm sure.

    May bid on this one...

Yeah, I was watching that all week. I got it.

Hope it works without needing new boards or other hard-to-replace components.

My apologies to anyone else who was bidding on it.

Congratulations on your win. It looks to be a really cool vintage... I hope it is in great condition. Of course, you'll have to keep us posted.

Will do. It seems to be a stop slot as well as an aripachi, so I'm looking forward to playing it (once I get it up and running).

Welcome to the Arepachi club. I just wrote you a note on Ebay I didnt know that you were a member here.

I asked the seller if the machine was working and he told me no!!!
Funny that he didnt post that on the ebay listing seems to have slipped his mind.

There are no power cords according to him. He also never played it with power to see if it was operating properly.

If its like my Jinn arepachi which I believe it to be then it uses odd sized Tokens.

Im still trying to run some extra down . Silver Dollars are a little smaller but they do work.

Yeah, I knew that was a risk. The eBay description read: "There is no adapter or plug, so I don't know how the electronic parts worked. I just played it without them. Balls move up and fall with no problems."

I'm hoping that it's never been used (and stored in a dry environment) and so all the electronics will be working. If I'm lucky, a new transformer is all it will take.

I'm glad you have one that is similar so I can figure things out like tokens. Do you think it was designed for some denomination of japanese coins instead? I'd rather not have to buy tokens that cost a dollar apiece!

    Congrats!

I'm glad someone on here picked it up. At least I know it will have a good home! I was watching it, but once it got up there a little in price I couldn't swing it.

Let us know how it goes when you get it...

Eddie has a lovely collection of painstakingly restored vintage machines. If anyone can guide you through the process if you need help, it is him. Good luck!

Yes it was designed for the Japanese Parlors and the use of Japanese tokens.
Here is an older thread showing the Tokens required for the machine

    Eddie,

I couldn't tell from that thread what you finally ended up using. The 500 yen coins look cool, but they are more expensive than silver dollars—about 5 bucks each!

You said in your reply you are looking for extra tokens. Does that mean you found one of the right type, or are still looking? If you have a picture of one, I can help you search.

Do Arepachis use a 24VAC transformer like modern pachinkos? One of mine says 7Amps and the other says 5Amps. What did you use for your Jinn or the others in your collection?
