My mistake - has a wooden cabinet so shipping may be OK. Mine has an aluminum one but is older.
    OK Who's bidding on it?

It's been 30 years since I took a German class and I can still understand a lot of it.

The guy is a crappy pinball player. Dumps a coin in, stares at the scoreboard instead of the play surface, and the game's over in a few seconds.

    Nice find, Eddie

How cool are those! Why isn't there a market for those machines here in the US? They've gotta be a lot less costly to ship than English fruit machines.

Yes. I bought couple of machines a while ago:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ3suRtTfug

At first it was really hard to find a seller who would ship to outside Germany. Finally Frank from http://www.automatenecke.de/ was willing to do it. He is a really nice guy. Two machines came nicely packed on one Euro sized pallet. Modern machines are about same size as pachinkos. Little bit larger and much heavier though. Decent German skills are must because most sellers cannot or don't want to speak English. Manuals are in German and the game menus are in German (the menus are very complex with all kind of tests, adjustments and settings - like modern pinball menus). I'm not sure if the conversion is possible to US coins. They have normal electronic and programmable coin mechs with sorters but the tube hoppers are made for Euro coins. However it should be easy to find a bunch of various Euro coins. Some machines are playable without money with the chip card. You can program the card with the machine to give you some demo credits, free bonus rounds etc.

Modern Bally Wulff machines are the easiest to newbies because they work quite well without electronic license, hobby modifications, printer emulators and so on. Only thing with Bally machines is to remember to change the 3,6V lithium memory battery when the voltage drops during years. The machine does not work if the memory has been cleared.

I found the 3 fuses. Two were blown. I now have lights on 2/3 of the game but it won't start. The bottom third is still dark. It is a Rotomat Astor. It takes credits with coins, but nothing. I believe that it should start on it's own when coins are inserted and credits show on top. Any thoughts ? You mention a battery. Where is it ? Thank you,

If it's Rotomat Astor model from 1974 it may not have a memory battery at all. Sorry but I don't know much about old models and their electronics. Maybe our German collectors know better. I would check all connectors, wires and bulbs. Also the ground connection to every board. Like old pinball machines, connectors and grounding may fail due bending or oxidation.

I finally got it working. The fan motor which runs all of the gears was sluggish due to grease buildup. Once the fan motor started to spin the machine works as it should but just keeps winning and adding credits. The large red button lights up and starts and stops the reels, but it never loses ! Anyone want to buy this machine ? It would have to be picked up in central NJ since it is very heavy. PM me if interested.

Great to hear you got it working. Maybe there's some kind of mismatch between the income and payouts (if there is a payout memory) and machine keeps winning all the time? Or maybe the memory battery has died. Sometimes they are inside the chip:

    Pariston vaihto mikropiiriin

..or the memory is kept with capacitor which has been dried out.

Ollium, you have very nice machines. The first one is quite familiar. We had quite many NSM Alle Neunes (Big Strike Bowling) and some other bowling themed (which looked like Wulff Tivoli) in the 70's. Also some Rotamint Super Siebens (Super Seven) in amusement parks.

Ollium, do you happen to know if their are any power supplies available for older machines? Here is a picture of mine, some of the parts are labeled from 1977. Thanks!

FrankA, did you locate any parts or have any available?
