    No, it is type C and some cases F type (grounded) plug like almost all European countries have. It is known as "Schukostecker" plug, commonly abbreviated as "Schuko." The C plug is known as "Euro-plug"

    And the voltage is nowadays 230V. Maybe old Rotamints work with 220V because they are usually from 60's and 70's. Most old machines are mechanical and the electricity is used only for lightning. Usually simple bulbs or short fluorescent tube. Go for it. They are lot of fun and cheap too.
