    I have had to delay construction due to a difficulty with the need to setup and clean up every time i wanted to work on it.. so the little time i had was minimized further with all the setup and clean up.. so until i can find a place where i can have it setup constantly its gonna be a while...
    and i bought a plank bender i havent had a chance to really work with yet

    NO DUST!!

    My grandfather was a carpenter and built a lot of row boats from 1930 to 1950 for people living in his area.

    He did all his work with hand tools and many of those tools he made himself also.

    he hand carved the bow and 2 stern corners from solid wood, and curvered the bottom of the boat slightly along with the bow and stern.

    his boats where always very easy to row and went straight and true.

    he passed away in 1956 and as a teenager I rebuilt his boat the best I could. bailing water was a way of life back then

    I ran a 3hp motor the first year and a 7 1/2 hp the second year until the boat starting falling apart

    he also was a carpenter at the 1892 Chicago World's Fair
