Hey Bfree...Hope all turns out great with the water repairs. But more importantly...THAT CEILING IS AMAZING!!! Is that your design! I love it!

After I win the Lottery...I am going to have a nice large basement/pool hall/rec room/bar/pachislo/pachinko game area/popcorn machine/Mame/...well you get the idea...and it's going to have a great ceiling like that.

I can't wait to see it finished.

Awesome Room!! The ceiling is a work of art. Can't wait to see it filled with your toys. I've been a plumber for 25 years and that's a BIG No No. (electrolisis) I've seen it eat holes in pipes in less then six months.

We just bought a new house, and were hoping to find one with a big basement to turn into a pachi room - but no such luck. We ended up buying a historic home built in 1831. The only room that I could lay claim to was a small 200 sq. ft. room in the basement that has a concrete floor and limestone walls. The ceiling is only 7ft. high with the original beams showing. The previous owners poured concrete 2 ft wide x 1 ft high around the limestone walls to stabalize the foundation.

We are renovating the whole house and the builder thankfully started with the gameroom. We decided to build a 32" high wall around the concrete that was added to make a shelf for my machines. Should be able to fit 18 machines around the room. The machines will each have a seperate switched outlet.

We're going to paint the ceiling flat black and put in cable lighting to spotlight the machines. The rest of the room will be painted and carpeted to match the house.
