    Howdy Folks

Well the question "Why have I not posted on either threads of this subject ? "

I am a single guy and have my 40 + pachi's all over my 2 bedroom apartment in various states of restoration . Some have been fully restored and then played to death and 30 gal lawn and leaf bagged to keep it nice and clean and some are part of the "Art " (Fully Funtional ) in the apartment . I will attempt in the rest of this year to photograph my machines and post them here . I have posted photos of some of my machines in my profile . I Love all the great work that All the members here have posted since Early 2004 Wow 11 years and still going strong !!

We moved into a house last month (Yay!), and finally have a dedicated recreation room. This is where the board games, pachis and pinball will live.

We do plan on adding at least a MAME machine in the future, and possibly a second pinball. We also have a bit of wall I want to get a dartboard onto.

    20151026_205729.jpg 20151026_205830.jpg

We are still working on a few things, like added decoration, another table, some more chairs, and one or two other things.

    Bump!!!

This is page 18 of this thread. To give you an idea of how rapidly this has slowed down, this last page was begun four years ago and we have only filled half the page! And only two posts actually include photos. (Thanks Card Shark and LynnInDenver!)

Don't read the above as being critical. Being that we have 350+ posts, there's a lot of inspiration to be gotten by browsing through the photos of other members' game rooms. I just want to encourage those who haven't posted their pictures to do so, and for those of you that have previously posted pictures, if the room has significantly changed or you have moved, please post some new ones!

On my own game room, it has fallen into a state of disrepair. Although the games still exist, it's become a storage room. We intend to sell the house in the spring of 2017 and move to a smaller place when my wife retires. I still love my pachis and get into the game room on occasion to enjoy them, but I am concentrating on getting the rest of the house in order and planning for a future room elsewhere To my wife's dismay, I have six pachis in our family room as well. Along with a full size roulette table that she "wants gone!"

On a positive note, I was able to create a full size game room in our rental cabin. The place has become too popular with larger groups, and I have now limited the group size. I removed some beds and now have a game room with air hockey, billiards, and foosball. I would love to add some pachis, but I worry about renters walking off with tokens or balls, or unsupervised children with the machines and/or tokens/balls. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them!!

Attached are some photos of the cabin's game room.

I was doing all sorts of "inspirational" searches online when we were house hunting, and then closing, on the house we moved into. It helps get one through that stressful period of time.

I'm also happy to share, partly because I know it can help others, partly because this is the first house I've lived in that we've actually been able to have any sort of game room. When I was growing up, we moved around a lot (Air Force brat), and the military housing, while nice, tended to not provide for such frivolities. And the rental and purchased homes at the end of my time living "at home" weren't really set up for that either.

Here are some pictures of my Game Room.

About a year ago, We moved to a different house. We moved from the country to town, which makes things so much more convenient, plus dealing with the "snow" and no longer having to clear a 150 yard long driveway, only to get to a "drifted in road", is a big plus.

The new house had room for a Game Room, but was smaller than what I had previously. I have room for 18 Pachislo's, 4 Pachinko's, pool table and dart board. I built the cabinets for the machines to set on, putting doors on the cabinets for storage. There are 4 wall type light switches on the cabinets that turn on the machines. 4 to 5 machines are connected to each switch, so by "flipping" the 4 wall switches ON, all 18 machines come ON.

I don't know if it counts as part of the Game Room, but I did put some machines in the garage, also.

I needed to build some shelving, for storage and decided to incorporate some space for some machines in the design. I also built in 2 Pachinko machines into the wall.
The wife can still park her Jeep inside and I have enough room to store all the "garage stuff". It worked out well.

But still, there are machines in storage. But, they do get "rotated in" every so often.

There is also a "dead machine", that I converted into a TV, in the garage. Removed the LCD screen, (which made it's way to another Member, who need a working screen.), and fitted a 19" LCD TV in it's place. Had to removed the side lights and cut the cabinet frame, a little, but it fit!

My wife finally agreed to help me change our guest room into a games room. 2 reasons she finally relented - 1) She got sick of seeing my Pachinkos, pachislos, and arcade machines around the house. 2) Her father came and stayed in our guest room for nearly 3 months while house hunting and it wore on our family's nerves over time - now no guest room means long guest stays will be practically impossible. Anyway - here are some pics of the humble 10 x 12 image.jpgroom now. I built custom lazy Susan's so that I can spin the Pachinkos and have 2 Pachinkos back-to-back. Check out the YouTube link for a better idea of what I mean. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

That's a really nice collection. Great idea for the pachinko stand.
