Pachinkos that should be made...

I know this is a 100% geeky question though here it goes:

"What would make a good Pachinko Machine?"

I mean I'm so surprised there isn't a Blade Runner, Universal Monsters, Doctor Who or a 5th Element Pachinkos lurking about. Is it hard for companies to option game rights or am I the only one that likes these titles made? I'm really excited about Star Trek, can't wait to get my hands on one.

I know that a Doctor Who or a 5th Element title would be pushing it but no Blade Runner or Universal Monsters Pachinko... COME ON! Do I have to go out and build one myself?!

I think the most bizarre licensing gimmick was the Charlie Chaplain Pachinko. Nothing against Charlie though this wouldn't have been my first go-to idea when scoping out hot properties to lure players in.

I've always thought that The Matrix would make the ultimate 20" screen pachinko!!


And not that anyone could ever get the license to do it, and I don't really care for the movie, but I think Nightmare Before Christmas could make a really nice pachinko too!!

I could see a Matrix Pachinko totally appealing to a Japanese market. Especially if you can incorporate all three movies.

I'm surprised there's never been an Akira one... They must not want to license the theme...

Or any of the Miyazaki films... I'd damn near donate a body part for a Nausicaa pachinko!!!

Again, it has to have appeal to a Japanese market; so Sopranos NO, Twilight Zone YES.

My all time two favorite pinball machines are The Twilight Zone and Adams Family. Both would make excellent pachinkos though would there be a market for them? LOL, the Adams Family would be great if it had a swinging magnet under the playing field to throw the balls spinning in unexpected directions, just like the pinball. Yet again, would this be a gameplay benefit or just make the player feel cheated?

I was amazed that there wasn't a Bleach or Death Note Pachinkos when I went to Japan (Tokyo, Feb 1-10 2008).

I can't help but think that "Star Blazes" would make a great machine... Gee, maybe one day someone will make one of those.
