Default Balls Escaping - Slot-Pachinko.com Cabinet...

So I bought this kick-ass cabinet from slot-pachinko.com, stained it a nice Cabernet Red and installed my new Indiana Jones Pachinko. Finally I'm all set, ready to play... or so I thought. While only a few minutes into game play I hear a "HARD CLANG!" of Pachinko Balls falling in back. I pulled the cabinet back and end up fighting my dog over loose balls over the floor.

    ARRRGGGGHHHH!!

I see that the cabinet has a splash board though found that 25% of my balls end up shooting out the back or laying in the small wood base next to the power transformer. Is there any way I can restrict my ball flow to just the basket below? Should I make a PVC pipeline to the basket?

Also I found that the loading hole on the top of the cabinet is not aligned properly. I mean I have the Packino perfectly laid inside though can see it was drilled a little off. If I pushed back the Pachinko any farther I wouldn't be able to open the front (I tested this out before screwing the Pachinko in).

    Any ideas?

go to a hardware store and get a conduit clamp and a oil funnel. or get the funnel at your local auto parts dealer.

find out where you spent balls are dropping from and mount the funnel right below that.

check the picture near the last post here

    PachiTalk

and on the top hole all i can think of is to enlarge it more.

the top half of a 2liter soda bottle works good too, then go pull the paper towel roll out of the kitchen and tape it in the upper hole to direct the balls into the top tray.

What size Basket/ Tray are you using to catch the balls?

I cant really make out the setup from the pics.

I would move the transformer out of the way for more space for whatever tray or channel system you want to install.

The basket is not the issue, it's the back ball drop of the Pachinko. The balls need to fall from the the Pachinko to the cabinet frame reservoir that leads the balls to the try in front.

I'm going to grab some cheap PVC lawn sprinkler pipe from the hardware store and see what I can do. LOL, Paper towel tubing might work, thanks birdbrain!

I've found rubber toilet plungers are a lot more quiet than plastic funnels, etc.

So after a few minutes of work I quickly put together this bad boy. Behold, The Mighty Pachinko Ball Funnel Thingy of Fury™!

All you need is a peice of 1" PVC pipe conector (45º angle), a all-purpose heavy funnel (cut the bottom open so you have a open cone), a hot glue gun (to seal up the cone to the pipe) and a small amount of electrical tape (to cover the glue seal).

Once you have built this hobby kit; score the part of the pipe you are going to glue to the cabinet bottom (since the pipe is so smooth you have to rough it up a bit so the glue can get a good hold). Align the cone with the Pachinko's ball drain (where the balls empty out the back). Make sure that you leave enough room to open and close the case when needed (I did a couple of test opening-and-closings). Glop on the glue and set your pipeline till it has a good hold (it should have a solid spring).

After a few good glue applications and proper drying time, "Voilà!", no more stray balls.

Are you into video production as your main job?

I understand that Bettie is 84 years old and entered a nursing home before this past Christmas suffering from a combination of pneumonia and a kidney infection and is unable to speak. Old age respects no one. I hope she is on the road to recovery.

I used to do DVD compression and authoring not so long ago. I'm in audio/video R&D now, primarily working with all the downloadable and streaming services. My client who handles the Betty Page titles is a personal friend of hers.
