Yeah been waiting for this one for a long time. Remember also that there is a great looking "Fruit Machine" Slot Machine in UK or Germany for Star Wars that looks great ! In fact here it is as I discussed at PC(The other place  ) back a few months ago :

    http://www.gameroommagazine.com/starwars604_1.htm

The above has 5 pages of pics for coin ops etc for Star Wars. The actual article in the 6/2004 issue of Gameroom Magazine is 6 full pages and in it it disclosed :

That IGT will debut America's first Star Wars slot machine. It is a MegaJackpots progressive game using IGt's advanced Video Platform(AVP) that has vibrant 3D like video abd theater style audio....
They will only be leased to casinos and never sold to Casinos or the general public (just like Wheel Of Fortunes original slot).

Also the announced in the same article :

Collectors will be able to get their hands on the new Star Wars pachinko machine hitting the Japanese Parlors late 2004 !

    I CAN'T WAIT :!: :!: :!:

It seems like playing field area and actual 'pachinking' are starting to take a back seat to big screens, plastic overlays and minimal pockets in many newer machines.

Maybe that's a good thing? Or bad.

In the days gone by where a one shot was the norm, I think it would have made a big difference. However in today's rapid shot world, I don't think it will inhibit game play as much as the video sequences will enhance it.

I'm still going to buy one if I get a chance.

I'm a newbie on this forum, and I gotta say this machine is *very* cool. To the experts out there, when do you think we'll see some of these stateside?

One or two might trickle in within the next 9 months as a favor to major buyers. The real flow will probably start about 14 to 24 months from now.

Hmm. The folks at Texasauction just told me they sold this machine in 2002 and 2003...

Was there another version of this?
