    Default Battleship Canoe

    My brother sent me this email he received.

    Admiral Graf Spee, Scale: 1:20

    The model is scratch built like a canoe using 1"/4" bass wood strips & then covered with fiberglass.

    Estimated weight: 700 lbs
    The beam is 52"
    The length is about 30'
    It can carry 2 persons.
    The model is powered by a 15 hp outboard engine under rear gun turret.
    It can sail 15 mph

    Construction time: 4 years (so far).

    Actually, that is not my brothers boat.
    He just forwarded me the email that his friend sent to him.
    He has a way to go on the Blackbird, but I think I have some pics of the construction progress.
    I will check for those when I get home.
